The Reality Draft: Main Thread (Finals)

Wut? Who lost interest?

The point is no team will be perfect and there is damn all the manager can do with the imperfections which is the core theme of the draft!

With RiOFL and Hargriefs, I'm pretty teams even round progress will not just be a player upgrade, but may call for a new strategy too.

Someone pointed out the inconsistency earlier and I said you should clarify back then. You didn't, stick with two then because that was clearly spelt out and what indicated it was one was "one reinforcement per round except".

I'd love it to be one given how versatile a squad I have, but it really should be two.

Yes, true enough. Plus, if we can lose keepers to injury the whole fresh face aspect of the reinforcement round goes out the window.

We should never have it again. It is as balanced as having the round 1. 1-16 round 2. 1-16 order.

In the first reinforcement round the first pick gets someone like Maradona, the 8th pick gets someone like Rivaldo. In the 2nd reinforcement round every losing team already has plenty of top players so being 4th is not by any means equivalent of being 8th the round before.

I'd say that in many drafts it is a huge advantage starting at the bottom, like in this one, where there are no stand out players available anyhow.
 
:lol: When I did my next round predictions I had Cole/Evra in whatever order from ctp and Boris.

I've concluded it really depends on the manager. Some are more hellbent on getting X player to build a team around, while I find it more important to be able to predict other people's moves in advance to prioritise picks, thus prefer to be in the middle because you are less exposed to unpredictable events like runs on positions, etc.

It was "I don't care". Nothing you could pick really affects my picks so why bother guess it?

I'm not entirely clear on what you are trying to do or how you are looking to fit Schuster/Barnes/Solskjaer. 4-3-3 I assume? In that case it should be a CM really, one in particular comes to mind.

I'm doing something you probably won't be a fan of. Figured since a lot of this Draft is a crapshoot anyway. ... might as well give it a whirl here

Let me raise that gap for you. In the last one where we had one reinforcement, I was the first one to go and got Luis Ronaldo, and the last one got Sinisa Mihajlovic. :lol:

Pretty much just looks like a 4-3-3 with advanced fullbacks and a DM.
 
That really is a car crash Annah, only credible thanks to some of those back five being such great players, but I would bet they would be a bit miffed at the entire setup.
