Why? In a side with Francescoli and Rummenigge why the hell do you want Verón dictating anything? Great player, but not a patch on either of them.

I'm intrigued then - you were sure that I was going after someone, can you tell me who was it? Varane always was my first choice here, but maybe I missed somebody obvious.

Maybe if you think Veron is so wrong there I'll keep Kalle as the striker and add another CM option. What kind of a midfielder do you think I should've gone for?

I actually think that my original plan for Savicevic-Enzo-Kalle was great, but given the amount of stick I got for it I have to consider a change. Still doesn't mean Dejan won't start eventually
 
Play Savi centrally as an AM? With Enzo and Kalle being capable of drifting out wide and alternating the scoring "burden"?

It's amazing though how little forward planning some of you guys at the bottom seem to have done in terms of getting the cream of the 90s crop. Aldo probably can't believe his luck :lol:

You can't put too much into what Anto says in the draft threads in ones he is playing, for him, the vote winning starts from round 1 of picking.

Crappy was obviously not going to go for him as I'd argue he clashes with Kempes and also has Shearer, which is why I assumed harms had never picked a striker (unless he plans to play Blokhin as one) expecting to land Neymar. It was another reason I didn't get the Savicevic pick as Viva was odds on to get one of him or other very handy players.

Stunned at some of those flying under the radar here MJJ/Theon must be creaming themselves.

That's not true, I act the exact same way even when I'm not participating.

The point is debating on how best to use players and refining the understanding of them, I sure have picked up a thing or two about players I wasn't that familiar with.

I was looking at some other cracking your players in that position but I guess Neymar fits better than others. The bearded guy needs someone pacy to pick out, after all.

There are a couple I would of liked to have picked, but one is hated by half the caf and the other is loved here but mightily unproven.
 
@VivaJanuzaj just play your team dude. Whatever makes you happy. Consider posts as suggestions but this is your team after all.

My suggestion is to get the best of Breitnigge as that would be your biggest vote winner. Then followed by Savicevic and Enzo. Seedorf/Veron are down the food chain if you consider the important individual players in your team. With players at hand, I would still prefer a diamond over what you have.

That is why you pick 13 players so that you can recover from a misfit pick. Personally, I would drop Veron off.

Like this? Or Neymar instead of Ortiz/Blokhin? A little unbalanced, don't you think? And Ruggeri + Stielike aren't a good fit for a 4-man defense in my opinion.
The lad is brilliant, probably the best player in the round (as hard as it is to compare forwards to midfielders or defenders), but I don't see how he fits in my team at all - if only instead of Blokhin which isn't going to happen, of course

I have a very strange formation in mind, I'm not really sure how the others would like it though. But we have a few more rounds there to get some players that would grant us some tactical variability.
