He sent Blanc as a backup to Overmars yesterday but ended up getting both. With Desailly added it looks great, although Gallas isn't fit to tie the shoelaces of Lilian if we are looking at that backline.

I figured if I put a whole bunch of really great French players around Gallas he would kind of blend in and no one would notice him

In fact, he would be a great comeback from many Tevezbola scenarios. With my luck he would go to Argentina and the other chap would get picked
