Well this result certainly makes me happy. Nice to see the good guy getting his just rewards.

bastards for trying to make him cry

I really don't mind when guys like Clarke win majors, what I don't like is when flash in pans in Ben Curtis, Louis Oosthuizen (did he even make cut?).
Some call me snobbish, but I just prefer the tried and tested to win, those who have been around to rather win done some one shot guy who we will never here from again.
Would have loved it for Colin Montgomerie( if he had played) or Sergio.
I am just a sucker for those who have toiled, for a long time to win.

'And how are the celebrations going to be?'

'Long. Very long. And I'll be very hungover'

Class.

Delighted for Darren and for the wee island of Ireland where 6 of the last 18 majors have gone to.

"I'm on Weight Watchers tomorrow morning," he quipped after completing his victory. "There's five points in a pint of Guinness... I think this could probably be a bad week for me to try and start."

Anyone hear and know the name of the American guy on 5Live on Saturday night who repeatedly and arrogantly dismissed Clarke as having 'no chance' of holding onto his lead on the final Sunday because he 'can't putt'?

Made watching Clarke comfortably make those putts on the final day all the more satisfying.

I see Rory has ditched his Girlfriend and was out with Wozniacki last night

fecking love his interview above. Clearly pissed and he doesn't give a hoot. Top Bloke.

Clarke's a great bloke. I remember either Els or Mickelson saying a while back something along the lines of "When some players win you're 'happy' for them because you have to be, but when Clarkey wins you're genuinely pleased for him."
