The Open Championship - Royal St George's

Clarke birdies the first. Class.

He should be well able for the wind and the rain. Apparently he has been practising in Portrush for the last year or so. It should suit his game.

I can't wait to finsih work so I can actually watch some of this!

Looking forward to the couch all day tomorrow with a few tinnies and the Golf on TV and the Gaelic on my laptop.

Perfection~!

Wouldn't min either of the final pair winning. Both have had bad breaks in the past and would be worthy winner.

Johnson has the perfect game for playing in the wind. He hits it low and very long.

I actually thought Johnson shot the round of the day especially as this is Clarke's natural domain in a sense...anyone within 8 shots still has a chance tomorrow

Yeah, Johnson had a great round too. I'd actually say Fowlers was the most impressive. He played his whole round during the worst of the weather and i was impressed with how he didnt let it affect him. Was very gutsy.

I really hope the man from Dungannon, Northern Ireland wins this. He has fought hard when in the heat of battle, while others have failed around him, he has carried himself with dignity and done Northern Ireland proud.

His whole career will come down to how he does today. He will either be remembered as one of Northern Ireland's greats or just another season long campaigner

EDIT: Shit folks - Wrong forum - I'm obviously talking about Jim in tonight Apprentice - Good luck to Clarke also

hey lads, would someone mind posting the current standings (or atleast the ones in contention) as my connection here at work has the sports websites and google blocked :(
