The Olympics

they should just get rid of all the competitors and replace them with the pharmacists and have gold/silver/bronze medals for the best performance enhancing drugs :boring:
You are right man....The Olympics, the ultimate marketing tool for pharmacuetical companies...;)

I know Olympic football is not popular and is more of a youth competition, but should we have a separate thread to track the competition?

Here are the groups:
Group A: Greece, Korea, Mali, Mexico
Group B: Ghana, Italy, Japan, Paraguay
Group C: Argentina, Australia, Serbia & Montenegro, Tunisia
Group D: Costa Rica, Iraq, Morocco, Portugal

I think Argentina would win it easily. With either Mexico or Italy meeting them in the final.

Group A : Greece 2 S Korea 2, Mali 0 Mexico 0
Group C : Argentina 6 S & M 0, Tunisia 1 Australia 1

Argentian looking good man...Tevez 2 goals and 1 goal from Heinz...

Manchester United's Gabriel Heinze played a starring role, scoring one and setting up another to help send his country top of the Group C standings.

Group B : Ghana 2 Italy 2, Paraguay 4 Japan 2
Group D : Costa Rica 0 Morrocco 0, Iraq 4 Portugal 2

Some brilliant football being played and what a stunning result for Iraq....Ghana were pretty impressive as well and their youngsters look promising man, watch out for Ghana in the future

CR seen here being kicked in the ass

day 1 -
10-metre synchro - Finals (i really like watching diving :D)
the Canadian team - Comtios and Despatie, won a coupld of medals in the past 2 years, great partnership b/w the 2, Despatie, what can I say, this young man's brilliant

Ukraine... don't know much 'bout the 2, might have a shot, but not much of a chance

Australia - I know Newberry's a fantastic diver, he and Helm (if my memory's correct,) won 4th in the Barca 03'

China - needless to say, Tian Liang and Yang Jinghui

Russia - another needless to say team, Dobroskok and Galperin

USA - know they're not that well in diving

GRE - donno much about the 2

GBR - I haerd Waterfield's a good diver, but donno 'bout their partnership

my prediction - Canada 1, China 2, Russia 3

Yeah, diving is great to watch.....

my prediction : China, Canada, Russia....must check out where are the judges from.

Michael Phelps

was kinda shocked to see the Russian didn't pick up a medal in the mens 10 M Syn.
another solid and briliant partnership b/w Wu and Tian Liang :D

Our badminton player Ronald Susilo sensationally beat World No 1 & gold medal fav Lin Dan by 15-12, 15-10 in the first round! ( similiar to the shock of Puerto Rico beating the American Dream Team in Basketball!;) )

However, knowing our psyche, he'll probably get dumped in the next round or two!:annoyed:
