1) Yeah always good to watch
2) Paula Radcliffe - Marathon
3) Any of it not fussed, apart from the walking, the action replay's aren't up to much
4) Bollox
5) Probably 2000
6) Denise Lewis winning in Sydney or Steve Redgrave and the boys in Sydney.

I don't care about olympics after NBC totally ruined it with their style broadcast. They make each event of olympic it's own episode of soap opera. It's really aweful.

1) Sort of, but not as much as in times past--too big, too political, too much of the IOC being full of themselves and too much corruption.
2) Generically--track & field, swimming, basketball
3) Men's track and field--middle distances
4) I think FIFA got it right by making the Olympics an U-23 event, not a national teams event. It keeps focus on the World Cup as the true test and caters to that old tradition of the Olympics where the nations of the world are invited to send their "youth" to compete in the next games.
5) Mexico City 1968
6) No consensus on this, but possibly Billy Mills' win in the 10,000 meters at the 1964 Summer Games in Tokyo or Bob Beamon's long jump in Mexico City in 1968.
(the official best for the US is the 1980 Winter Games ice hockey victory over the USSR)

5. Sydney 2000
6. Kieran Perkins 1500M win in Atlanta

New Greek government elected today promises the olympics will be ready on time, should it not already be?

1) Are you looking forward to it??
not at all
2) Who's the best bet for medals in your country?
basketball, but i get sick of my fellow Americans in this sport (thug behavior, lack of respect for opponents, hope they crash and burn)
3) Which event you look forward to most?
soccer/football...baseball but the US lost this year...so...soccer/football only
4) Football in Olympics...izit a great deal?
for the players it is, but everyone else doesn't care
5) Which is your favourite Olympics?
tie 1992 and 1996 ... 92 with Dream Team... 96 hosted in the US and I was 20 and in military technical school ... and that hot German female swimmer...
6) Which is the all time fave Olympics moment for you and your country?
1988 Baseball Gold Medal Game... Jim Abbott (one arm phenom) pitching a complete game win over Japan... I would say 1980 US Hockey victory over Russia (ze greatest team of that time) but I was only 4 and did not see the game nor did I know what hockey was then.

2. Ian Thorpe will take home a truckload.
No doubt about that...it's only a matter of how many records will be broken by him....

1) No
2) Dunno, table tennis probably
3) No idea
4) No
5) Dunno
6) Dunno

1)oh yes
2)Diving (Alexandre Despatie  )
3)swimming, diving, baseball, basketball, hockey
4)with ronaldo and heinze in for their country, i'd say NOOOOO
5) salt lake city 2002 winter olympic ('coz i actually went there)
6 don't care

1) Certainly am looking forward to them, though with no tv, watching will be difficult.

2) Paula Ratcliffe, the 3 day eventers (we've got the best in the world right now), Sailing, Rowing.

3) Any of the real technical sports, track and field isn't that difficult.

4) Soccer in the Olympics, well it's always been played for, but never been taken seiously has it.

5) Barca 92 or Sydney 2000 were probably my fave Summer games.

6) Redgrave's 5th Gold or Thompson 2nd Decathlon medal. Mind you the 1936 GBR Hockey gold medal at the winter games was rather special...

1) Are you looking forward to it?? not much

3) Which event you look forward to most? Erm?
4) Football in Olympics...izit a great deal? No

I have there two years ago and for the time being nothing has changed... that's a shame for Greece but bearing in mind their mentality I am not surpised.

1. Yes
2. Womens High jump, Mens 800m
3. Most of em
4. If your team's there, yes.
5. 2000
6. Winning Gold, any gold.

1) Oh yes.

2) Arik Ze'evi in Judo, Alex Averbuch in Pole Vault, a couple of able competitors in Mistral and 470 (sailing) and a couple of good Greco-Roman wrestlers.

3) I'd say Swimming. Athletics used to be the best thing but the level has really gone down in the last few years. Swimming seems far more exciting - and there are major record improvements.

4) Not really. I'm not really interested that much in the football at the olympics. Thats what the world cup is for! Making it U-23 is decent I suppose.

5) Atlanta 1996. Don't know why... All them long nights...

6) For me? Ah... Can't say I have one. For Israel, Yael Arad winning the country's first medal by qualifying to the Judo final in Barcelona.

2. Ian Thorpe will take home a truckload.

So now it's a truckload minus 1. ;)

I believe he was going for six gold medals, but he's left with a maximum of five one. Gotta favour Van den Hoogenband in the 100m freestyle as well...

Have the say the system that allows the American and Australian only one shot at qualifying to the olympics in any certain event isn't the brightest. Especially in swimming, where ONE false start means you're out.

There was only one dream team (1992), IMO. Meanwhile, the current edition lost to Italy, lucked out against Germany on a last second shot, but blew out Serbia and Turkey on the pre-tournament tour. I don't think they'll win gold.

i have my doubts as well. wouldn't go as far as to say i'm "hoping" they lose, though. but let's just say i wouldn't mind it...

Who are the biggest threats to the US basketball team this time??

Have no clue. I don't follow international basketball. Italy beat them, so if they are in the tournament, they have a shot. Argentina too. Not sure whom else is around.
