the official UNITED v SCUM thread...

If a game was won on points like a boxing match, then we're winning, but its not, we've had 6 attempts to 2, but its 0-0.

HT.

Not getting a goal before HT is a blow. Leeds may come out as a different team in the second half. The commentators are going mad about Beckham's elbow.

Considering how many key players are out with injuries, I'm pretty happy with the first half. Ole should have gotten a penalty but I can't complain about it too much because Becks could easily have been sent off. Lucky not to have at least gotten a yellow card.

Not sure if it was intentional, but it was dangerous, it was a strongly challenged for header, but his arm was high.

United well on top, disappointing we havent got a goal. Beckham should have been sent off....

Wonder if he's related to Alan Green ? Someone needs to look at the member status and change it to 'Yet another ABU feckwit'.

Where's Blythy when you need him ?

nice one lads... we've played well and are very unlucky not to be in the lead... i can't believe the fecking ref missed two blatant pens... the formation is very condensed in the midfield, this has helped to stiffle Leeds' play...

the only negative has been Beckhams distribution , which, quite frankly has been terrible... however, he's put in the effort.

Well the MU Radio claim it was the most blatant elbow you'll see. No doubt the media will go ape tomorrow on how Mr Winter favours us.

Neil, it was a blatant elbow. Nice one, he couldn't have aimed it at a nicer bloke.

We were very good from 20 mins on.

We should've got a penalty.

Becks was lucky not to be sent off - the referee can't have seen the elbow.

COME ON UNITED!

For once everyone is really really trying. I think the atmosphere has a lot to do with it, you can't but give your best.

Surprised that we're dominating so much, but Giggs and Beckham are causing havoc, and Ole too. O'Shea very solid, Rio and Barthez though have had poor understanding - Fabien needs to obey Rio.

Neil - I've just seen the one replay but I think Bowyer saw it coming and leaned in towards the elbow to maximise the visual effect. It just looked like a piece of theatre to me. I doubt there was much impact, but I may be biased.

I'm very glad to see that Beckham and Giggs are rotating free kick and corner duties. It's about time we looked at our options in that area. Giggs dead ball delivery has been good today.

Leeds players look strong in the middle of the park but have a curious habit of falling over very easily just outside the opposition box, especially when they are on the right hand side of the area. Harte's delivery looks like Leeds best option for a goal today.

i've been reading the live game cast from www.soccernet.com and we seem to have a lot of the play, hopefully we can do something with it

away from home against a team thats trying to play suits us...

its at home against liverpool-like teams, which cause us problemszzzzzzzzzz.

OGS made one pass that if it had been Veron would have been raved about.

Ole's been playing great IMO, I never saw him as the kind of striker that sets up plays and runs with the ball, but he's proven me wrong.

2nd Half on the way, UNITED !

He's been very sharp so far, almost got in Ruud with that over the shoulder pass.

Kicked off for second half, Bowyer makes a great shot not that far off.

What the feck is Barthez doing? He makes a save, under pressure from a leeds player, then goes nose to nose with him.

Phil walking to the sidelines Get on chadwick! Phil jogging back on.

He wanted a word with Kewell I believe ;)

More even second half so far, not got our movement going again yet. Leeds, and Smith, still being very physical, this time Smith gets a yellow. Dirty Leeds.

Poor cross by Beckham after good quick passing by us. Nice solid tackle by Blanc. Butt though is struggling to get off the floor.

Smith ploughs into Silvestre again and gets booked.- where actually was that on the field. i reading text and have no idea

Butt is injured, loooked like a knee in the back, he's kinda on his feet, but hobbling off. Chadwick warming up. I wanted Phil off, not fecking Butt!

Butt injured?

How's O'Shea doing on the right?
