The New Kits Thread

I don't mind that St. Pauli shirt, though it looks very badly tailored (judging by the wrinkles). Agree that a white, red, black version of that Juve away would be nicer than our away, but equally it could have been worse and ended up like that Juve goalie shirt

Spurs, Milan and Saints good....Everton & West Ham shit

Someone should be shot for even claiming to have "designed" that Arsenal one. It's just an Arsenal shirt. A Marks & Spenser Arsenal pyjama kit, or the North London Red template from PES 6...or a 6 year olds drawing of one of their kits from the 70s. No one designed that.

I like the Arsenal shirt, but agree with Mockney that no-one should be able to claim to have "designed that", it's the gestalt of an Arsenal home shirt

I reckon that's the reason they add all the extraneous guff to Arsenal shirts like they did with the last one - so that when they strip it back down to the basics all the Arsenal fans react like it's the second coming of Christ.

Still, with an iconic kit like that, there's not much you can do with it without ruining the look. Same goes for Ajax.

If I were a Gooner though, I'd just get myself one of the 70s retro reissues with the old crest and no shitty sponsors logos.

St. Pauli away.

A team with a sponsor looking like that deserves to be in the Championship.

That West Brom away shirt just looks like a tshirt with an awful logo on it, the kind they give away at fun-runs.

New West Ham away:

Unfortunately the picture on the wall just shows how much nicer the original design was.

Also Reading's new home and away:

New Middlesbrough home and away, because they haven't found a new sponsor yet the shirts will go on sale as seen. Normally I love the sight of a shirt without a sponsor's logo splattered across the front.

But these shirts are so dull and uninspired the lack of sponsor simply makes them look like a Sunday pub team who can't even get the local chippy to sponsor them.

Fortunately for you they will have sponsors... a new one every month!

'Boro to sell sponsorship on a monthly basis

Ive decided addidas kits generally look shit.

Also, when someones job is to design kits that appeal to fans as well as suite athletes in terms of material etc then how the hell can they be so dumb as to design a pink everton kit where everything seems to be in the wrong place and actually think that fans will be rushing to the shop to buy it.

Yet you would buy a plain red sponsorless United shirt in an instant.

New united kit **official**

Not sure if this has been posted yet but I didn't see a post on it..

As worn by reserves in last nights game!!

I think the blue one looks good. The problem with the home kit is the massive white stripe across the middle which looks like they have just forgotten to put the sponsorship on. If it was just plain red it would look miles better.

Which is why I said:

"Normally I love the sight of a shirt without a sponsor's logo splattered across the front."

So yes, I probably would buy a sponsorless United shirt in an instance.
However, I think those shirts, particularly the home one, are actually made to look more worse by the absence of a sponsor.
