The New Kits Thread

oh feck me, the away design wasn't actually that far off, this is the official

Think it looks quite good in a "wish I was young again" sort of way.

Why the dragon? Are Inter known as the Dragons?

Possible Spurs home shirt leak, nothing confirmed but must confess I quite like it:

I saw a photo of a couple of Spurs players at White Hart Lane wearing the new kit (might've been posted here), the view wasn't great but it looked like that so pretty sure this is real. It's a good-looking shirt.

The Inter shirt is a bit mental.

my local team, Coventry City - not a bad effort!

Clinton always looks so mischevious.

I remember an interview regarding wages and a possible drop in wages. When prompted by the dude doing the interview if he would be willing to take a cut he just started smirking and 'i dunno man i like my diamonds'

Funny fecker.

Got a PM from a newbie (M@ryHinge) and apparently the above shirt is a mock up from COYS, based on this leaked photo:

Looks fairly similar, though the collars are different and the club badge looks darker on the mock-up. Speaking of which, here's some more mock ups, apparently based on sod all:

I think both the Inter home and away is a step down from what they have now.

I agree, I like this season's kits a lot, especially the home one. The 2nd one would have been even better without the collar.

It's not a dragon, it's a snake called "Biscione", which was the symbol of the most important Milanese family in the Middle Ages, the Visconti. It's also one of the two symbols of Milan and of other things related to the city, such as Inter and Alfa Romeo.

That actually makes the kit a bit better, but the snake could have been made much more nicely. Smaller for example.

Definitely, they probably wanted to make something completely unusual. Then I think it's time to reintroduce the 3rd kit , I would make a black one with some blue parts, similar to this year's Atletico Madrid 3rd kit.

ffs when i worked for zurich, i wrote a letter to head of global marketing in 2006 about getting into football sponsorship. zurich main sports sponsorships were/are golf.

a year and half after i leave the country, they decide to act on it. i should get a fecking bonus if they clinch the spurs deal.

Wouldn't it be just a part of your job? You got your salaries for it.

no i wasn't in marketing at all. I was a quant analyst. however i took time out to write a detailed letter to head of global marketing to look to do a shirt deal specifically with a premiership team. cnuts i deserve a bonus for suggesting this over 3 years in advance.

Hehe, I doubt you do sadly.

Anyway, if it is any consolation I will think of you everytime I see Tottenham play. Somehow I think that makes it even worse.

The Zurich logo was just stuck on there by some fan who mocked up those shirts. I haven't read anything solid about Zurich sponsoring Spurs elsewhere.
