Forget 4th we're not even guaranteed to finish 6th with this buffon in charge . If left to it he'll leave us in the midtable. The miracle of beating Everton, Bouremouth and Leicester to a EL place .is on

It’s incredible that he can claim - with a straight face - that the squad that came second last season has had almost £70m invested in it and would now take a miracle to finish in the top four.
Especially when he refuses to play a man that cost £50m.

I hate this logic. As though Mourinho being shit somehow rules out the possibility that the squad - which has been wank under the two managers before him - aren’t also culpable.

Not a question of quality, or lack thereof. It’s about the man who should be our leader trying to take the least amount of responsibility for this mess by blaming guys half his age.

It's absurd. He probably blames it on not getting a fecking CB too.

None of that justifies you taking a pop at other fans for “shitting on players” who are playing crap and fully deserve all the criticism they’re getting.

Even worse when you look at the ages/profile of our squad. Sanchez should be bedded in and having a great season after some much-needed rest. Rashford, Martial, Shaw, Lingard and Lukaku should be getting better every year. Lindelof and Bailly should be better acclimatised to the PL.

The only players who we should be worried about any decline are Young and Valencia, which would be more than evened out by all the players that should be on an upward trajectory. Without signing a single player he should have got more out of this squad this season than last. And here he is implying it was predictable for us to go backwards. The fecking brass neck on him!

They’re just making his argument by proxy and I find it as distasteful as when he does. Letting everyone take their blame, fine. Blaming them to absolve him, not fine.

To be honest when he makes comments like that it's hard not to believe he's trolling. Everything he says is so calculated, he must know exactly what reaction he's going to get saying those things.

It's to be expected as not many in football can shift goalposts as adeptly as the fraud. His supporters will lap it up as always and harp on about how a 400m squad is midtable level and that Jose is doing us a favor by even managing such an awful side

Do you think Trump calculates his statements? Mourinho is simply a narcissist with a pathological need to defend himself by any means necessary.

I think Jose is a lot smarter than Trump, as baffling as that sounds seeing as Trump is the president of America, but I stand by it!

He is a narcissist idiot, but I still think Jose knows what he's saying, as idiotic as it makes him look.

Latest comments are hilarious, soon it will be a miracle to finish top 6, then top 8 or top half. Like he himself said though the board can’t sack him as it’s too expensive, he is clearly going to put that to the test.

Based on last season, the resources and expectations he is the worst performing manager in the league. At all 19 other clubs in the Premier league that level of performance in relation to expectations would result in being sacked by now. Wouldnt matter if it was their first or third season in charge, this is literally the only club in the league that would allow a manager to perform and behave like Mourinho is doing.

But you know what? Feck it. Can’t really blame him for saying that. He’s grimly clinging onto a job that’s getting away from him and if this is as good as it gets for him at United that’s a savage blow to his reputation. So you can see why he’s desperate to look for excuses. We’d probably all do the same in his shoes. I despise the bloke but do quite pity him at the same time.

Never underestimate the delusions of a narcissist.

I agree.

We need to start planning for the future properly. I think because of our history (Busby and Ferguson) we are fixated with the idea of a manager that oversees everything throughout the club. We need to realize that we are unlikely to find someone like that again and delegate duties. A DOF with a clear vision would be a great start.
Yeah, agree with that.

I think the fact that he says all of this crap with a straight face as you say, is what gets me most.

Do you not think he genuinely believes what he is saying?

I personally think he wants to get the sack. Sometimes it feels like he has almost been toying with the club to see how far he can push it.

Hopefully we get a manager that aims to build a project by looking at how to get the best out of our already available best players - from that moment on - we can talk about improving step by step..
That's what I want as well. Only that it will take time. And I'm not sure how much better our current players can be.

It’s incredible that he can claim - with a straight face - that the squad that came second last season has had almost £70m invested in it and would now take a miracle to finish in the top four.

But remember that coming second last season was his greatest ever achievement as a manager!

It's incredible how he can essentially call our squad a load of shit week after week and still in a job.

I don't think I've hated anyone more in football than this self-absorbed, incompetent, poisonous prick.

Thought this since his first stint at Chelsea. I literally felt sick when I knew he was coming here.

To me it'll more interesting how he views it and speaks on it when he's gone. I disagree that it's just what anyone would do in his shoes.

He's never really spoken about his failure (and chaos) at Chelsea before we signed him. If he leaves United soon and is still making these daft excuses about his United reign in a few years time, he's just a self-absorbed cnut as far as I'm concerned.

You can choose to admit you failed. It takes a bit of balls to admit it but people do it every day. But then, if he was capable of it, he would have walked away ages ago - instead of hanging on for his money.

Can anyone find other examples of such high profile managers, in charge of high profile teams just talking in such a disrespectful manner about his own players?

No can’t blame him he is saying it because he is trying to absolve himself of any blame and because he knows he can get away with it. He knows we aren’t finishing in the top 4 and that he is getting sacked at end of the season so he has no incentive to behave himself.

Anyone can see that last season was so much achievement. Similar to the Leicester Champions, I wonder why are they so bad now? Same as United they lack quality!!

I don't think we'll hear much as it's quite likely he will be bound by an NDA in his contract - at least for some time.

He'll speak shit about the club eventually like LVG has, doubt he'll bad mouth the support, who have stuck by him.

Did LVG speak shit about the club or was it not Ed Woodward and how he runs things?

He's digging his own grave. Cannot believe the amount of ammunition he gives the media, imaging if one of the players dared to have a go back and spout the drivel he does. He has some unbelievable talent in his squad, but simply isn't getting anything out of them. Needs his contract terminating asap. He shaming our club and must be dreadful for the players to hear how shite they are on a weekly basis.

Imagine this place if Arsenal win. It will explode. Jose will become a hate figure among most fans if he already isn't. Which sort of will be sad.

He's talking the club down every chance he gets, and has been at it for over a year already, all in an effort to paint himself and his miserable failure in a better light.

Can't believe he's still allowed to stink up the place.

What irks me is that he has been a miserable cnut since the day he got here and most of us foolishly gave him the benefit of the doubt.

If he had any decency he would walk away and resign but the fact he is a greedy, miserable cnut it is likely that he wants a big pay off.

At this point “but the board/players” is basically the “but her emails” of United fandom.

A squad that Mourinho has put together

Yep. There's barely been a single period where he hasn't been moaning about something or other. Even when he first arrived he seemed club, it's just been a disaster from the start.

They’re flying and high on confidence. We’ve got a weakened defence and lack of belief.

Unless the OT crowd pull them through we will lose. No faith in us beating Fulham either.

Suppose the difference was Fergie used to moan about Wenger and have other 'battles' that United had to fight.

Mourinho starts a fight mostly in his own dressing room.
