Is it normal to still be raging after that 10th-minute chelsea goal?

Imagine getting 3 points against them at the bridge, 3 at the AS and the plastics at the Emptihad.

All 3 involved in cheating, bribing, match-fixing and financial fraud and dirty money in one way or another. It's like we're on a mission to clean up football.

here fishy fishy

The football is still crappy and I find him a repugnant personality, I hope he can snake top 4 and then part ways amnicably.

I do think he’s got some tricky decisions to make, such as does Lukaku come back in, what’s happening with Fred and Matic, will he keep the same centre-half pairing, is Martial now a permanent fixture in the side.

He needs to get these elements right, in my view. If he doesn’t, and results turn to shit, he’ll only have himself to blame.

We've had some wins like this under Jose: legit wins, I'd call it, against strong opposition, where we actually look like we know what we're doing. We were never going to «dominate» Juve for 90 mins, so I'm more than satisfied with that performance. We kept at it - and the gulf in quality we saw at Old Trafford wasn't apparent tonight.

Very different games in some respects, of course, but I'm reminded of the win against Liverpool last season: people were complaining about details then too, but it was a legit win for me. It was followed by some very disappointing displays, however, which could easily happen again, so I see no reason to get giddy just yet.

Tonight Jose gets due credit, though. And on that note - why on earth do people waste time and energy on getting worked up about his utterly predictable post-match behaviour? He isn't classy? Well, shock and feckin' horror. Do they actually expect him to change his spots? Is this genuine disappointment over him not doing that? Probably not - more like default moaning about something they bloody well know will happen. To each his own and all that - but if it were me I'd save it for the next defeat. Seems - ahem - classier that way.

Got to say all these late wins we are having are starting to make me think he could actually turn things around.

If that's a decision he's struggling with then nevermind if he should be managing United, he should be looking for a new line of work altogether.

If he signs a top RW, and some top attacking players, I feel like we can become a top team. But he doesn't, he goes after more CB's to add to the 50 we've got, and our attacking play suffers. If he'd just sign a top RW player I'd be happy to back him, but it's been 3 seasons now and the best we still have is Lingard, Rashford and Mata..

Martial improving has helped us a lot, but you need a combination like Mane/Salah, Sterling/Sane, Hazard/Willian. Even those teams' backups in Shaqiri, Mahrez and Pedro are better than our current RW options.

Of course Lukaku being rubbish this season now makes us need a striker too. I don't know, Mourinho used to be very clinical with transfers in his Madrid and Chelsea days. After his first season here where the signings were good he's been very hit and miss with them.
in fairness he seems to have been trying to sign a RW (Willian and Perisic) but we have been unable to close the deal. Either player would have improved us but i am hoping we get someone younger and better

Was reported sacked a few weeks ago. Dead man walking going into a tough run of games. Teams been galvanised, results are good, hes shown enormous resilience though we were all told there was deliberate sabotage and a melt down occuring. Dont see it much in football.

As usual the hysterical agenda drivers just move on to the next line of attack forgetting their over the top embarrassing kicking and screaming. Act like thats not what they said.

Tough game this weekend not ideal timimg, any result would give us great momentum

I still he’ll leave at the end of the season.. probably to go to Real again since Perez likes him a lot as well as the old guard there that hated him towards the end will be shipped out to pastures new for Real to make a new splurge.

I was very critical of him in August and September but he's properly turned things round now. Baring a disaster you go to knock out stages of CL where after tonight's result the whole team should be more confident about playing the best. Also back in the race for top 4.

Safe as houses until the summer. Up to him what you make of rest of the season (and January window of course).

Aahahahaha.

Love that.

Old school Nintendo villain. The Jose.
Quadruple 2019/2020 incoming

Talkin' about Dick Dastardly... It's uncanny.

Muttley & Dick

Or Sil & Mou?

I dont get why he needs to be overly provocative though, has the man lost all his class?

Should prioritize to go and embrace his players and focus on their success instead of being a total dick against the opponents.

This 100%, but he can't help himself, but in fairness most toddlers are the same, hopefully he'll grow out of it....

I fecking loved the ear cup tbf. They were talking shite, came back to bite them in the arse. The way it riled their fans up and Bonucci was fecking hilarious. Think what you want about the guy but one thing he isn't is boring.

I guess you've never been a United fan at an away match in Italy then, it took being a grade 'a' dickhead to a different level ffs

99% of teams will go to Juve and struggle. We did well considering we’ve got Ashley Young as a right back.

Credit is due for our manager tonight, and I’ve been very critical of him on here.

That wouldn't be the Ashley Young who was one of our better players on the night, or are you, like Mourinho confusing him with Ashley Cole ?

My has been "Not Yet" for a while and i'm slowly leaning towards "No". This was suppose to be our toughest set of fixtures in the first half of the season and we've done remarkably well. Our football has improved quite a lot and players are fighting for him. Nothing more we could ask of Jose right now. Bring on the Derby and lets smash it.

Credit where it's due. A good performance and a terrific win against a top team at their ground. More than the result, which was fantastic, I loved how, partocula in the 1st half, we played the game with a positive and aggressive approach. More where this came from, please and build on it. We have a lot of potential in this team IMO.

Agreed, absolutely loved it from Mourinho. The commentators were mentioning Mourinho "tainting" a great United win by being distasteful. I don't get why everyone wants to get rid of the emotion in football, he were standing in abuse (apparantly) from the Juve fans for 90 minutes, and all he did was hold his ear up going "can't hear you now". If you wanna give shit you have to be able to take shit, that's how the games played. Juve players and fans getting offended by it only makes it better, tbh! :D

He is clearly trying to change. More mellow mostly, saying the right things about the players, responding well to journalists, trying to get the best out of the squad he has and demonstrating passion for the club.
He is also clearly trying to change our football by getting the team to play more openly and offensively.
The players seem more united behind him. And results are gradually improving so much so that we just beat Juventus at Turin in a crucial Champions League game.

Why should anyone want him fired?

Been saying it from the first leg that this Juve team where nothing special and we could take them if we decided not to just bend over for them, but our manager and his supporters said they were the best in the world, best defence on earth, we don't stand a chance etc. These players including the much shat on defence are capable of going toe to toe with anyone, absolutely anyone if we know what the hell we're doing or with proper coaching. Hope Jose finally sees it though

They were Champions League favourites, give it a fecking rest.

We didn't go toe to toe with them and nothing suggested last night we could if we wanted to. We won and we're enjoying it but let's not deluded ourselves. We got massively lucky

Nice bit of form at just the right time for him. Hopefully half time against Newcastle was “rock bottom” because, only for some rank bad luck at Chelsea, it has been generally positive ever since.

Having been at the Newcastle game and witnessed the support he has in the stadium it is hard to see him getting the sack during the season.

The football is still basic and the long ball stuff really grates on me, despite the results. His big signings have not delivered at all and I still think we are one bad performance away from another full blown crisis.

All things considered it’s a bad move to sack him during this season but I think he’s gone next summer.

I think Jose gets credit for bringing back some stability to the side by sorting out his own shit in terms of not attacking players and making more logical team selections (giving in to player power IMO) - so in that sense he has become a touch more humble and it is beginning to pay dividends but credit for that Juve performance? For the subs yes and the result yes - but we were incredibly fortunate to get those points.

For me tactically it wasn’t as deserving of credit as the Liverpool game where we shut them out (as much as we hated it) whereas this game relied a lot on luck. Nevertheless we did try and offer counter threat in this match away from home against a big side which was nice to see.

They were Champions League favourites, give it a fecking rest.

Not in my eyes.. They don't do enough to beat teams convincingly, a good attacking team with better midfield can expose them significantly.

He has reacted well to recent adversity - shown a bit of character so fair play to him. I am not convinced he is the man for the long-term future but why would we keep chopping and changing managers at every sign of tough times?

There was a thread saying that all we need is confidence. Well, 3 wins in a row now, 2 of them after getting behind and 1 of them at the ground of one of the top teams in Europe should be enough to give confidence to the team. I don't think the problem was mostly about confidence but the theory will be tested over the next months.

Last night the team ran just 100km. Same old poor work-rate.

Of course. Poor Moyes. The victim of circumstance as his future after United has proven.

Kepe burying your head under the sand. The man was nowhere near good enough for Manchester United.

You're right...Moyes wasn't ever good enough to manage the team. In fact, nobody was good enough to take over for SAF after he retired, which is why I thought Moyes was the perfect hire because no matter who was brought in, they were always going to be compared to SAF, so Moyes served as the "sacrificial lamb" sort of speak...

Luck went our way as well. If we give these chances to city and their clinical strikers the last occasions comeback won't happen this time. We won't comeback from 2 or 3 down.

First half will be key vs city.

Defence is still poor, partly because the work-rate isn't good enough and we allow teams to play their attacking game.

Any big team can be called favorites, and it doesn't really matter anyway. I've watched them play, and I think they're nothing special and will get knocked out by the first decent team they meet, there's about 5 or 6 different teams i'd put ahead of them as favorites. Jose has just brainwashed many into thinking we absolute crap which I've never bought for a second, so much we actually had posters saying we're a championship side compared to this Juve side. If he had focused on making us improve instead of constantly trying to convince the world we shouldn't be expecting much because his team is shite we'd be doing much better. Even our famously shat on Maguireless defence were looking solid for the most part

That's my point, we can go toe to toe with anyone but we don't, because we've been convinced we have the world's worst defence and are the most expensively assembled underdogs in the universe.
