I'll happily admit that I am not a Mourinhio fan at all and I personally think the sooner he goes the better.
However, yet again this weekend he, and those who defend him, have managed to astonish me even further.

First of all, yes, 100% the Chelsea assistant was wrong and went too far, but, to say Mourinhio was the innocent party is going equally too far.
For a start, if it weren't for the security staff holding him back, then who knows what he would have done in retaliation, it's not hard to guess what.
We may well have seen the invetiable final step of Jose going from 'the verge of a mental breakdown' to 'actually having one' , as I said, it's going to happen anyway and that's part of the reason we should just get rid now.

Also, the way he behaved afterwards, reacting to the Chelsea fans, why has that now been overlooked?
When players goad the opposition support like that they get accused of being disrespectful and inciting riotous behaviour, now its OK for Jose to do it just because someone had the audacity to goad him, I honestly don't get it.

Finally, if Mourinhio thinks the Chelsea fans should roll out the red carpet for him while he is the Man Utd manager then he's more deluded than I thought.
He 'was' the Chelsea manger and did well there but they key word is 'was', he's not anymore, so the Chelsea fans are perfectly justified in now giving him stick if he returns, even more so if he's returning as manager of a big rival. On top of that, he hardly left them on great terms anyway, his last season there was a shambles where he ended up embarrassing himself and the club.

It's a bad state of affairs when im now defending the Chelsea fans but, I'm honestly just calling it as I see it and as I said, every week he manages to astonish me, I reiterate, the sooner he goes the better, end of.

Weird to defend Chelsea on this while Chelsea themselves knew they were the wrong side totally. Agenda ? I find no reason else.

I went out of my to say at the start of my post that the assistant (Ianni) was in the wrong.

Also, I went out of my way to say that yes, I want Mourinhio out, it's not an agenda, I'm just tired of his constant moaning on, as if the job is a burden, if you can't handle the pressure of managing us, then don't.

Even FA didn't charge him and fully charged Ianni. No, he wasn't wrong in what he did on Saturday.

He's finally getting some selection and man management decisions right. If he can just tweak his tactics a bit, he might just last the season. Just make the first halves of games a bit less boring for starters.

And shore up the defense

Can't imagine defending the Chelsea fans over Jose. They were giving him so much stick, don't blame him at all for giving it back, they owe him so much.
Agree. Funny though how some people think that an unacceptable response is holding up 3 fingers, in order to denote how many titles he's helped their club win, in reply to being told to "F--- Off" consistently for 90 mins. I often wonder why some "fans" think they can get away with this sort of provocation, and then appear genuinely shocked when the focus of their ire turns round and has the temerity to respond, even, in this instance, with the most banal gesture imaginable?

Tony Cascarino ( ex-Chelsea lummox ) was on the radio at the weekend absolving the fans of blame as, in his opinion, Jose's reaction was utterly disgraceful. I thought it was pretty measured, to be honest, and if that upsets their precious sensibilities then they must be the most triggerable of snowflakes to ever wrap themselves in the flag of false victimhood.

Yeah because the FA really know what they're doing.

If anything, that just emphasises my point, I'm baffled as to why everyone thinks Jose has done nothing wrong here.

Is it because anyone in the media who has the balls to critique him gets accused of manhunting or having an agenda?

I was just saying that if he thinks they're still going to worship him to the point where they don't celebrate when their team scores against a huge rival then he's seriously deluded.
It's not a lack of respect, it is simply supporting your team, it's perfectly logical.

You're the only one in the world whom I see holding him responsibility of what happened on Saturday. Even on this forum his most haters didn't. Good luck mate.

This place loves slagging off Jose, the fact basically everyone backs him this time probably points to you being the odd one out.

I wonder why that is, him being such a delight himself.

Almost as much as Jose has enjoyed slagging off the players I guess, or the board, or even the fans last year (also refused to meet with them).

PS, I can handle being the odd one out, so what?
Doesn't mean I might not have a point.

Anyone in the media who has the balls to critique him? Really? That's what strikes you as ballsy journalism?

Arsenal manager proving you need $400m and two years to get your team to play good football as the Jose acolytes would have you believe

It isn't even the good football that's an issue for me. Emery has clearly put his stamp on the team within 3 months. Sarri also. How many players have each improved?

2 and a half years later and I still don't see Jose's stamp on our team. No counter attack threat, very little attacking threat at all, no great defensive solidity.

It is 2 and a half years and none of us including Mourinho know who the strongest eleven are. The constant chopping and changing and the fact certain players go missing for weeks only to reappear again are very unlike a typical Mourinho team.

In three years as Man Utd manager, his record is likely to be
6th
2nd
6th.

Serious question but who has Jose improved?

We can blame Ed and the Glazers until the cows come home but it doesn’t wash with me.

Look at Sarri. Emery. They’ve been at Chelsea and Arsenal for 10 minutes and they’re playing cohesive, attacking football that we’ve never played under Jose in 2.5 years.

He needs to go.

A slender win against the bottom team and admittedly a good draw against Chelsea hasn't really changed much. The team needs a massive results turnaround over 10/15 games to change my mind.

Just look at Sarri and Emery? Already put their stamp on their clubs.
The people whose eyes remain closed at this point, will never open them.

So Emery has spent £71 million and has been in charge for around 6 months and now Arsenal have an identity, play lovely football and are mixing it up at the top of the table.

Mourinho has been in charge for nearly 3 years. We have no identity We play tumescent football and let the opposition decide what sort of game we'll be playing and we're 7 points off 4th place.

Oh but he didn't get those CBs.....

It's time to move him on.

And it's funny neither of those teams have a WC defense...
Arsenal have disaster prone Mustafi and a pensioner at the back and still okay decent football. People will bring up any kind of excuse for out football.

It's game by game at the moment.
If we can squeak through to the other side of juve x2 and city away he could still last the season.

He is going to last the season no matter what unless things get terribly out of control. Sacking him will be significantly cheaper if we miss out on top 4. Getting rid of the dosser right now would be a hefty fee of around 25m£ so he is not going anywhere anytime soon. I'm afraid we are stuck with Moyesinho till may where another clown will be hired and then rinse and repeat.

It’s really surreal that after 1/4 of the season is out, we’re currently sitting in 10th position, having cumulatively played two good halves of football in the past ten games or so, and people are still acting as if this is fine.

We are in the shitter really. We are at a stage draws against City and Liverpool which are good results in isolation do absolutely nothing for us in terms of catching the other sides.
We need something like 10 wins in the next 12 to really put ourselves in contention before the year runs out. It's not going to happen.

Reminder that today is the 22nd of October, not March, April or May. Something often forgotten around here. A calendar can be a useful way to keep track of the current date.

Also, I think he will sign a new deal by the end of the season, certainly by the end of 2019. I'm confident he will get the team back on track and things behind the scenes are clearly not as they are being reported and believed. We were in bad form, nothing more, nothing less.

When you wake up out of you coucou dream in March, April or May. We won’t judge you but just remind you to wear a helmet next time before we give your head a wobble.

The reaction on here if we gave Jose a new contract would be priceless.
