Need this Jose, the one that changes it quickly if not going right. That's the one at Chelsea and Inter

Hopefully he will come round and drop Lukaku

Absolutely nonsense - it's that Jose that has been causing us to suffer.

We attacked today because we had no other choice.

The players he struggles to manage like Martial Malta ppgba were the best players whilst his favourite players like matic Lukaku, felliani, mctomminay were all rubbish.

He literally took the unnecessary tactics away & suprise suprise - we played better & more natural football than never happened at Jose's clubs even when he wins things. He is a result based manager who starts attacking only when he needs to.

Maybe Pogba and Martial aren't as awful as Jose thinks they are?

Still has to go.

That second half was all the players... it would kill him to play like that all the time.

Should be the end regardless of this result.

Changed my vote to Not Yet.

I think the players are still playing for him.
Really? 45 mins can change your opinion that much? It's a nice comeback but let's be real it's just papering over the cracks.

Hopefully he will leave at the end of the season. Too many issues with this team, his decisions are stupid, the decisions the players make are stupid

@AlecHDR

Feck sake, anyone changing their vote after 1 win against a woeful Newcastle side just shows how fickle modern day fans are. It's papering over cracks. Next game we'll start slow, tumescent and negative and you'll be calling for his head again.

He's got to go, tonight proves that it's his tactics that stifle us.

Unless this result and 2nd half performance rejuvenates us to the point we surge up that table like lightening, he’s still a dead man walking.

They never stopped trying. Our losses were never from a lack of effort. That was just finger pointing

The effort in the second half looked nothing like any of our previous performances this season imo

Guess it's not the players after all, player power my arse

Exactly

People were saying stuff like they are not trying - when you could see them trying to attack in such deep areas & remain frustrated.

Jose allowed the whole team to attack & they' tried' better or whatever people want to call it.

Players like Malta, Martial & Pogba consistently struggle under him & non surprisingly - they did the best aka players with flair to their game.

That was the players, and particularly Pogba going, “Sod this, I’m changing this game”

Doubt very much it was down to the players playing for Jose.

Now feck him off, nearly wasted 3 sure points by being needlessly negative at the start by picking a stupid line up. We won't be as fortunate against better teams.

Who is this Malta chap and can he play as striker?

The main reason I wanted him sacked was based on the assumption that he lost the dressing room and there is no way back. The performance in the second half tells me the players are still playing for him so there is still a way to turn things around.

Be shocked if he’s not in charge for our next game after that sadly, although they should part ways on that ending, at least it would be somewhat dignified.

I think he’s gone after this but what a way to go out. I’ll remember this game for a long time.

Still on the, ‘no give him more time’ and I won’t change. Jose Mourinho. Jose Mourinho. Jose Mourinho!!

This game highlights EXACTLY the problem. Get him the fecking defenders he asked for and whatever else he wanted on the wing or wherever. I have seen us have mares like that a number of times under SAF but we had class CB's we knew were having a blip but these are just unsalvagable.

your post is nonsense. unnecessary tactics is not starting with matic & pogba as CB? Ok...

Personal pride more than anything. At least they showed that they are capable when they feel like turning it on.

Still, this is one of the worst Newcastle teams in years and we had to make a late comeback in order to beat them. Jose has to go and the sooner the better.

The main reasons he should be sacked are his toxic personality, his inability to coach his players to play football, his general disrespect for anyone and anything that's not himself, his complete ineptness at coaching an effective attack, and his persistent feuding with players and staff. Losing the dressing room would have been the last straw to force the board's hand.

Needs to go.

After the 1st goal, many players showed they could play some nice attacking football. They need someone to allow them to do that most of the time and not only when his back is against the wall and the his job is on the line.

The only way he should be gone after this game... is if management told them... we will fire Jose immediately if you come back and win the match.
If they didn't say that, I'd say the players have spoken.
