Yeah, sack Mourinho , new manager with half a working brain cell will want rid of Phil Jones, Smalling, Valencia, Darmian, Young & Rojo.
He's the one that held on to them. Nobody told him to do that. He's had plenty of time to see they weren't good enough.
He just approved Rojo's extension at the end of last season and now he's not good enough for him within a few months. His judgment is all over the place.

Just to add another perspective - During the 92-93 Premiership under Ferguson, right at the start we lost to Sheffield Wednesday 1-2 and then lost again to Everton 0-3. The next game we drew 1-1 to Ipswich Town. Should we have sacked Ferguson then? Bear in mind, we won that season in the end.
Did Fergie have a history of having a meltdown after 2 years at a club and not being able to turn it around when it started?

He will try to get sacked from now on, just look at his press conference.

Find it hard to blame Jose for not signing the players we all knew he needed. But I do blame him now for not quitting, just hanging on for the compensation when he must know it's over.

And as for Woodward? Is it just a case of trudging through the season purely so that he can save a few quid in compensation when we can no longer finish fourth? Is that what it's come to? What a pair. What a sad state of affairs. The Glazer ownership is once again shown to be cynicism and greed and nothing more.

Huge over reaction. I know we lost 0-3, but we really weren’t that bad. I have absolute confidence that Jose will get it right. We’re not ready to challenge for the major trophies yet. That may take another 3 to 5 years, but I reckon we’ll have a decent run in one of the cups, which is what we should prioritise for the time being. In the meantime, let’s not be too down hearted and very importantly, let’s stay to the end to applaud the team. The ground virtually emptied after the third goal today and nothing can be worse for moral than seeing half the fans bolt for the exits just because we were losing. Have faith in Jose, he’ll come through.

So you still didn't answer. Sack Mourinho three games in and bring in who? I'll wait patiently for your solution. I presume you do have one right?
Zidane, for one. At least we'd have someone who is a winner and has won recently and can bring something out of these players. Or do we just keep Mourinho because of the fear of the unknown? Because you do know we're winning feck all with Mourinho in charge.

Or go out and poach someone like other clubs do. We claim to be the biggest club in the world, it shouldn't be that hard in that case. Anything is better than Mourinho who is having us play like Allardyce and Published at the moment with results to match.

Ok, I've answered your question. Tell me why we should keep him? And why is it embarrassing to want him out?

He’s been backed into a corner by an accountant.
Woodward should have had a sack thread first.
You don’t back the manager of a building project then not get him the materials that he’s requested.
Our defence is shite and the rest of the team is nervous because of it. We played Smalling and Jones who were getting flak from fans when SAF was in charge.
I think this is the end, by sack or walkout, but the majority of the blame should go on Woodward.

Amen.

It's too late for him to turn it around and as much as we all wanted this partnership to be a success it's time to accept that it isn't working. Whether you believe it's his fault, the players fault or the boards fault, thebottom line is he isn't getting a tune out of the players. That's all that matters. He cannot coach them any further. We gave our best today and still it wasn't good enough. We aren't getting the results for whatever reason. And with every job it's the manager who is replaced if things aren't changing.

£400m of failures and excuses

Out of his depth! The job is too big for him.

Thought the six changes tonight was really desperate. I think he's clinging on with his fingertips and he knows it.

Jardim, Poch, Zidane? We could get any of them if we really tried. We're Manchester United. They're not Klopp or Pep but better than what we have now.

Smalling and Bailly seem to be the only option.

Being honest though this is completely Jose's fault. He's spent big money on two CBs already. He had 2 chances to sign that consistent starter you speak of and fluffed it both times. How many chances should he get? What happened to the Jose who knew how to sign defenders? How did signing Lindelof ever make sense? Seriously? I could tell within 10 minutes of his first game that he wasn't up to it here. What was Jose thinking?

I believed Lindelof was signed as a 23 year old prospect. It doesn't seem to have worked out. Look we have Jones Smalling (Fergie) Rojo (LvG) and Bailly Lindelof (Mourinho) players in the mix.

Fergies pair can't stay fit and basically are second defenders. Rojo is average, Bailly has suffered with injury and Lindelof looks out of his depth in the PL. There's not one Rio, Vidic, Stam, Bruce, Pallister between them. That's why he wanted a top CB. It's bloody obvious really.

New manager with half a brain will make them look like decent players again

You're right we came 2nd with that lot & a decent big club would have dumped Jones & Smalling years ago, we are still hoping they come good in maybe 2020.

Loses 2 out of first 3 games of the season and most of you want Jose out?
Harsh.

The next manager is unlikely to last more than 2 seasons if it were left to fans, we'd have a new manager every season.

Moyes. LVG. Now Jose. Who next?

It's not just the 2 losses out of 3 though, is it? The problems extend far beyond performances and results on the pitch. Clearly, there is an issue between Jose and Woody after the latter decided to veto his manager's transfer requests, deciding instead to rely on his own misguided judgement. The Fellaini, Martial and Pogba shit in the press, his own horrible press-conferences in which he looks clinically depressed most of the time. The sleep-inducing football etc. The list of cons is practically endless, whilst the list of pros is non-existent.

Surely there comes a point where you say enough is enough?

The Old Trafford faithful are still behind the manager, rather than being as embarrassing as this.

The Old Trafford faithful were singing for Moyes and LvG too, but you can be damn sure most of them were glad to see them go. They support the manager during matches, that's sort of the point. But it's no vote of confidence.

As much as I crave some success and positive playing style (consistently) there has to be something wrong at the core of the way the club is run to go through 2, possibly soon to be 3 managers in a handful of years?

I wanted Mour after SAF, but we delayed the decision because of DM. He, at that point, was a proven winner who struck a modicum of fear in other managers and teams. But we waited until our club became a joke and almost a walkover before asking him to turn it around - that’s a tough ask no matter who you are.

We laugh at Chelsea with their managerial sackings, but they tend to win the prem in between! we’re arguably worse than them because we can’t get a winning run before we ditch a manager. We’ve seen how a board disconnected with football can end up with other clubs. someone paid a lot of money needs to make a decision on how to go forward before it becomes too hard to stem the negative free fall flow. Before we just sack him, other changes need to be made.

I'm his biggest supporter but it's simply not working.

He needs to go but Ed should go as well. Make a fresh start and plan to build a proper football team please.

Jardim and Poch impress me most. But I'm guessing they'd go for Zidane since he's available and therefore easier to get.
O think we need to be very careful with who is hired this time.

I voted Mourinho out, but The Glazers, i fecking hate them, they should be out before him.

Look nobody here like the Yanks. But its hard to say that LVG and Jose havent been given money to spend.

Both spent a fortune on players, but the wrong ones. Thats on the managers

Ok, I've answered your question. Tell me why we should keep him? And why is it embarrassing to want him out?

It's embarrassing to have threads calling him a cnut and talking about fans blowing him off. That was my point.

Do you think United deserved to lose 0-3 today? Do you think the team played like Allardyce/Pullis in style?

I don't think today was all his fault (Herrera in the back line was a bit weird though). The players mostly were shite, save for Shaw and Smalling. Lindelof was really poor, as were Sanchez, Pogba, and Lukaku.

I still think it's time for him to go. I'm tired of his media rants and boring games. I think it's time to move on.

Yes it's up. His time was up months ago. The man is losing the plot from his press conference quotes.

Kenny Daglish or Howard Wilkinson should get the job, if your past honours are more relevant than winning matches.

Hire Roy Keane just to beat the crap out of those p_ss__s we call players. Don't care about wins.

The issue always has been that he hasn't been able to find the balance between offense & defense. Sure we looked good in the first half, but if not for two individual moments of brilliance by Smalling & Herrera, Dele should have scored twice in the first half.

We need a manager who can create chances without leaving us wide open. One who doesn't do crazy things like playing a CM as a CB. Conceding from a corner when we have the likes of Smalling, Pogba, Lukaku on the pitch against Toby & Kane is just stupid. Why do you have an undersized defender marking Kane? Who else is a bigger threat that one of those three players wasn't marking Kane?

Why is Matic playing? How many times is Mourinho going to get fired by trusting Matic as the DM? He's too slow & honestly a liability when you have the likes of Sanchez, Pogba, Fred, Pereira who can ping balls around the pitch. Said it a 100 times, the lack of balance in our team starts with us not having a mobile defensive CDM who can cover space giving our FB's & one of our 3 CM's full license to go forwards. We have fast CB's who are good in space, press the opponent like we did today in a 4-3-3 Play Herrera, TFM, or Lindelof insead of Matic & its a total different dynamic.

Also can we get a manager who doesn't take his players on emotional roller coasters? If your squad is a revolving door due to any mistakes or tactical changes, how do you expect there to be consistency? Right now we have a manager who has no idea how to make things work and is just trying different things every week hoping something works.

NEXT MANAGER PLEASE.

The earliest I could see him getting the sack is if we lose next week. After that, maybe mid October. If he is sacked, I suspect it will happen before an international break, so his replacement can be brought in with a few weeks to sort things before the next game. Otherwise, I think it might be right around Christmas, because you would not want him being involved in potential transfers in January. After that, it will be when we are mathematically eliminated from top 4.

Woodward out. Make surethat the man took what he wants first then point the finger at him. I'm afraid that some players stopped caring or he is losing the dressing room but today's performance was not that bad. Some players are to blame and not our quality.

The difference being SAF usually managed to drag a performance or two out of the players he signed. He got the best out of players for the most part. Jose is in his 3rd season and none of the players are getting better.

He's gone I reckon, either he walks or they feck him off.

He doesn't give a shit and neither do his players.

I am in the Woodward out club. Give Mourinho as much power as Fergie had. Keep Mourinho no matter what, even if we finish near the bottom. Keep Mourinho for at least 10 years. No pressure from us is needed, the guy applies plenty of pressure to himself, it is obvious he wants to win. Give him the power and at the end we will win a lot.

You're off your tits mate. Mourinho has never been a long term manager and doesn't do development.

What's your point, exactly? Are you saying we shouldn't have sacked Moyes or LvG? Because that just might invalidate your entire post.

His time may be up but this dick Ed certainly hasn’t helped matters.

Yeah he should be demoted from footballing matters.

What on earth has Martial done to receive that extension if it's true?

It comes down to a simple question.

Is Jose going to turn it around?

The answer seems pretty obvious.

So we should act.
