Overall, he hasn't been terrible as Manager - but he is now driving up a dead-end. imo.

His team - I do believe it is 'his team' now, has structural deficiencies or has to pack the DM area to protect the defence in order to succeed. Up the other end, Lukaku is Lukaku, and that dictates how the attack functions for a lot of the time. It's kind of OK but then again it's isn't quite often too.

Time to move on, this era of re-consolidation after the previous 2 idiots is over, I think.

Ah, the same old excuse trotted out for not getting rid of Moyes and Van Gaal earlier than we should've, thereby missing out on Guardiola and Klopp, who would've been perfect for us.

So you still didn't answer. Sack Mourinho three games in and bring in who? I'll wait patiently for your solution. I presume you do have one right?

 That was silly from him, the press will love it. Pressure getting to him

He was pretty dignified in the Sky post-match interview, why the meltdown in front of the rest of the press? What a sausage.
One of the journos said something he didn’t like.

Title winning number of points last year. Making a decision based on two results this year is laughable.

Mourinho football is poor but anyone that watched his team's before United knew that so why is everyone so surprised ? Amazing

He will go if we look significantly worse toward the end of at the end of the season but not after two games just because some genius couch potatos say so

Tara Mou.

He's proven beyond doubt that when he's in this situation he cannot dig himself out

Shame as I still think he can be a good manager.

After the Chelsea debacle I hoped he could put his ego to one side for a club like United but we saw again today he's willing to prove a point at the cost of the club.

I was a supporter of Jose but it seems like this is the end. The guy is not happy here in Manchester, wife living elsewhere, has bought defenders that have been no good, not enough dead wood cleared, not real spine of the team created. Sanchez has been utter wank. In fact things have looked pretty shaky since Sanchez came here, probably upset Martial, Rashford and Pogba straight away and the team's right hand side gets ignored. lets not forget we as a club had Memphis there as well and we still try to accommodate Mata and Fellaini.

Wonder do we have a top man to slide in ahead of Jose like ZZ or do we not and have to hope Jose can make amends so we can at least finish in the top 4.

You can sack Mourinho. Then who? Another manager who'll have to be allowed time? Who'll have to work with the structure and strictures Woodward has, I imagine, created?

I don't see it making much difference without radical change in the organisation. Sir Alex looks even better retrospectively given what he was working with.

City built their entire club and identity around guardiola. We weren't getting him.

When did that happen, remind me?

Liverpool preseason game. Moaned in a press conference about his preperation; coming back from holiday out of shame etc.

If he is so unprofessional why the heck did he go out of his way to name him captain?

Sacking Mourinho won't change the results.

Players they have are just not good enough.

Can't believe he was applauded off at the end there. Sounded like they were even singing his name.

I'm not completely anti-Jose, I'm sort of on the fence as I don't think sacking any manager mid-season is a great idea, but that's a bizarre reaction given the 2 years of meandering. Sing the name of the club if anything.

It will be a great idea considering it will give the manager time to assess the squad over a season or half of it and make signings accordingly. If we wait for us to drop out of top 4 like we have done in the past, a new manager will come, look at the players again and then it will be the same rebuild story.

It's done, surely. He looks completely lost, just like Moyes.

He can't quit though, he'd renounce his severance package.

All of you saying Mourinho out will be saying the same in 2 years time once the new manager is in the shitter again. Woodward is the clown in this situation.

Absolutely no way Woodward will sack him just now. Kidding yourselves on if you think he’ll be gone any time soon.

I think if you're not there or thereabouts in respect of the bare minimum you expect by Xmas, then you look at making changes, with the January window in mind.

I presume our hierarchy will be silently happy with any CL qualification spot.

No manager deserves to be sacked after 3 games unless there is genuine misconduct.

That’s 21 games into the season though...too long for me if you want to impact the current season significantly.

Good thing nobody wound him up further by reminding him the only reason is because Wenger just retired.

Im not sure if your just being constantly sarcactic in this thread or if your genuinely pissed. But this comment is amazing lol

Definitely. Those top reds who applauded Moyes and van Gaal until the very end are a credit to our club. Us average online fans know nothing compared to them.
That's the thing though isn't it - You didn't see this under either Moyes or LVG.

The fans realised their style of football wasn't what's expected at United. The fans appreciated the football today (well, at least in that first half) shows signs of promise. Then a mix of quality finishes and individual errors and you're 2 down in no time.

How can so many of you expect a change in manager to magically turn this around? And then when it doesn't, do we just chop and change again in the hope the grass is always greener? So many posters on here have that attitude with our players too. Just look at the Martial thread - he misses tonight after playing like shit against Brighton and suddenly he's apparently our best striker.

And even if we were to change managers, you certainly don't do it 3 games into the season. It needs to be done properly, rather than a knee jerk reaction. It has to be timed to allow a manager a transfer window to form some semblance of their own squad and identity.

We've lost 3-0, but who gives a shit, Mourinho has won 3 titles. Let's celebrate

Feel sorry for him, but don't want him sacked.

Wouldn't be disappointed or surprised if he resigned though.

You're on some kind of witch hunt?
Not overly but there’s a lot of comments about how entitled and pathetic posters are who want Mourinho out.

I think things like this are pathetic beyond belief and there are a lot of posters (the same) who will clap like seals for this shit.
