Your opinion is affected by what Jose says and how he is as a person, that to me is not rational. I know you don't like his football either but we're 6 games in to the season. We would probably had to have lost 5 out of those for him to be sacked now.

If we're still this bad in two months than I'll be happy to see him leave. When I say bad, I mean result wise not how entertaining we are. Couldn't care less about that.

How bad does it have to get before you realise he's not the right man for us?

This whole "oh I'm so rational because I support the manager" rhetoric needs to die. I mean, for every fan calling him a cnut, there's just as many calling people cretins, bellends, plastic fans, kneejerk etc because they want him gone. Stop with the holier than thou shit, it's utterly tedious. Take that stuff to the clusterfeck thread in the General. There's good and shite arguments from both sides, end of. People are entitled to their opinions and plenty from both sides are making good rational arguments so just stop thinking you're the proverbial 'better fan' because you want him to stay.

You might not always win but you should be playing better. We don't play good football that is pretty much a fact at this point, when you don't play well you're less likely to win games.
We should be playing better, but the question is how much are our players capable of. Or if it's more down to Mourinhos tactics and management.
Also @Janson This is not just about 6 games. Last season we didn't play well either Sevilla home and away, Tottenham away, Newcastle away plus many other games.
That's true but you have to look at the whole season, which is why he's still here.

How bad does it have to get before you realise he's not the right man for us?
If our record is as bad as now after we've had a bigger sample of games, that is if we keep losing points at the same rate.

Our problems start as soon as we drop deep after first goal and start playing long balls with any pressing from front to the middle, and when Matic is missing or not in top form we have severe problems. We have enormous potential if we keep hold of the ball much better and press from the front and play along the ground. Managers stubbornness is definitely holding us back though some of the players have to play a lot better than they are playing.

Says it all really, not much to hope for when by his own admission he prefer his team not having the ball at their feet, instead opting for sitting back and depending, trying to do something on the counter with makeshift wingers and a CF that cannot shield the ball for the life of him.

Instead of pressing high and stop teams from developing their attack, hindering their buildup we choose to invite pressure which just puts additional pressure on our defence.

Unfortunately for some, petty point scoring on the internet seems to mean more than the best of interests of the club. For some, they have backed him this much up until now, they won't back down and admit things really aren't rosy. I admit I was wrong, I wanted him and expected him to be successful here.

It's never been an isolated game that's caused the criticism and I don't know why some try to make it out as such. It's been around two years of horrible football.

The board probably didn't think it was a problem, no. The majority on here knew it would come back to bite us, though. This seasons struggles come as no surprise to most who looked past finishing 2nd and actually took our performances as a team into account.

It hasn't been horrible for two years though, but I'm not gonna get in to that now.

But you do understand why they didn't sack him, no? We went from 6th to 2nd, the decision to stick with him was justified. Now that the decision was made, they have to give him some time.

If it does turn out that this form continues and this is our level, then I will commend you on your insight.

So you're acknoledgeing he's doing a bad job now already? Why not just get rid now? Mourinho has never shown himself capable of turning it around once we get to this stage.

It doesn't really make any sense to get rid of him now. If they backed him to take on this season, then he has to be given more than 6 league games.

How many more games are enough in your opinion? 10? 15? We are entering into a very crucial phase playing teams like Valencia, Chelsea, City, Juventus and we can't put away championship teams like Derby. It's very concerning and worrying.

This whole calendar year we have been an absolute joke, it’s not about 6 games and you know that yourself so stop playing the ‘rational’ card.

Why 2 months deadline from you then? You just have a higher tolerance to the shite than the rest, that’s the only difference.
Like I said, you have to look at the whole season. Have you seen anyone get sacked after going from 6th to 2nd position? I'm not gonna go in to a discussion about how good we have been last season because that's not gonna go anywhere.

I would say about 2 months is enough to make a proper judgement.

So now we’re using the board and Woodward as a baramoter of fine football related decisions? Those guys are as inept as it gets, they stuck with LvG when he was dead man walking too, we have a reactive management.
If you think they are that useless, then why does it even matter if they sack Mourinho now or not? If you don't trust them to make decisions, then you probably won't be happy with his replacement either.

We'll just have to wait and see, especially how we do in those tough games you mentioned.

You keep bangin' on about being 6 games in to the season. The football we play is a continuation of the shite we've been playing for a lot longer than 6 games.
And Mourinho probably won't be here for long if that continues.

By pure chance, I don’t have high expectations. However, that’s no reason to keep failing manager in my opinion.

Ok, let's sum up.

3 wins on a spin, pretty decent performances. Then comes Wolves game, we weren't the best, Pogba fecked up a goal, tie. After the game he goes to the press and criticise the manager. He is stripped of a captain armband, and then while watching the League Cup match he films around and posts it on Instagram. Only one who posted anything. Next day the manager starts an conversation about that Instagram posts he acts like a bellend.

So, can someone explain me why some much people is defending him? Especially after all this shit in the summer.

I don't think they are that useless though, people are mostly exaggerating. You should also think about, if you were in their shoes, how much sense it makes to sack him now from a financial point of view.

Have you been watching the PL this calendar year?

We beat City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Burnley all in the final 2-3 months of last season, comfortably brushing all rivals aside to finish in 2nd place. Our PL finish meant we outperformed Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal. We also got to an FA Cup final.

Yet, 'this whole calendar year we have been an absolute joke'. It's comments like this, where you're posting blatant bullsh!t to back up your biased arguments which will make you have no respect when posting on forums.

"Failing"

2nd place
Europa Cup Win
Carabao Cup Win
FA Cup Final
Back to back CL qualifications

Define failing? Did you expect this squad to get more points than City last season? 103 points?

He is failing for what he's supposed to be doing. We hired Mourinho to win the PL. Given him 400 million pounds funds to do it. We can't even challenge past December. Forget that we are not in a title race in SEPTEMBER. It's not acceptable for Manchester United.

There are issues in how the club is ran, over and above the manager - but the situation with Mourinho is becoming tedious.

He's doing what he's done before - most recently at Chelsea. When he's in a hole he just keeps digging. Picking fights, alienating the players and being his own worst enemy. Its bizarre.

This'll end like it did at Chelsea.

The people above also thought Van Gaal and Moyes were the men to take charge of the football club. So the men above can often be wrong.
And please don't be under the illusion that you're the only one trying to be rational. Those who don't feel he's the right manager for Manchester United are usually also trying to be rational.
Sorry but I don't see how sacking a manager after 6 games can be rational. Unless you are influenced by all the stuff going on, on the side and you think we had a terrible season last year.

Who cares, the football has been terrible.:)

No point arguing with those who are so entrenched in their camp that they have rewritten his entire tenure into a complete failure.

Which happens to be less than the team that finished above us has spent, by a good margin.

And we ARE NOT out of the title race in SEPTEMBER. There are 32 games left, 96 points to play for.

Yep. But do you honestly think we can improve further under him? I don't. I fully believe he's taken us as far as he can, and each game continues to back up that line of thinking.
I don't know, we'll have to wait and see. Given that we only signed Fred and Liverpool and Chelsea got more reinforcements, I don't know if we are capable of the same league position as last season.

Due to spending 400 million. Not due to any form of coaching and plan. That's the point. We can't even name 3 players who has shown consistent improvement under Jose.
Well we've had to spend to compete, given how much City are spending. You don't know that it's only due to that we have improved, that's what you're assuming.

My PTSD from Milosevic days got triggered by reading last 20 plus pages here... and no, what you doing is not supporting, you worshiping current United manager. He comes out today and say its Sunday, you would accept it after 15 sec. There are few special ones on CAF, you say bad performance, they wave with a result, player is not on good side of JM, he goes straight into theirs blacklist, only missing is them shouting "Lock him up!".

You trying to show support to manager like normal person, fine, you call out those who hate him for making stuff up, fine. Not a single issue with those people. We can discuss about JM related stuff but trying to do that with citizens of JM Rectumville is just waste of time.

Which players have improved though? You could say Shaw, although that could just be that's he now finally looks to be over his injuries. Lingard?

Ban is one of the absolute worst culprits of being absolutely blinded. No objectivity whatsoever. Horrible example.

Whether you're Mou in or Mou out, this 3 year curse thing has to stop. People are really lapping it up and it's spreading to the ignorant masses that Jose Mourinho is cursed like a pirate and can only do 3 seasons at one club.

The world does not revolve around Jose Mourinho and his tenure at clubs, there is no such thing as a 3 year club curse. He's not a pirate ffs.
