I dont agree with that and had my fair share of runnings with certain people here.

Nope, he is by far and away one of the worst offenders. He is so blinded by Mourinho and yet I still haven't seen a well thought out argument put forward by him.

Define failing? Did you expect this squad to get more points than City last season? 103 points?

Wenger got 2nd place in 15/16, nearly got Europa league (Man. United didn't face anyone of Atletico's quality in that competition in 16/17), regularly qualified for CL until last two years and won 3 FA cups in 4 years. And that's a specialist in failure for you.

Way Mourinho goes on about rival managers failing all the time the yardstick for me is premier league title and CL. Has won one league title since 2011 and hasn't made a CL final since 2010.

My PTSD from Milosevic days got triggered by reading last 20 plus pages here... and no, what you doing is not supporting, you worshiping current United manager. He comes out today and say its Sunday, you would accept it after 15 sec. There are few special ones on CAF, you say bad performance, they wave with a result, player is not on good side of JM, he goes straight into theirs blacklist, only missing is them shouting "Lock him up!".

You trying to show support to manager like normal person, fine, you call out those who hate him for making stuff up, fine. Not a single issue with those people. We can discuss about JM related stuff but trying to do that with citizens of JM Rectumville is just waste of time.
Don't drag me into this thread mate. :D

I saw you edited it, but we can still have a Perfect normal convo, right? :)

Keep on with the hysteria.

Nope, lots of well reasoned posts in the other thread. You just keep repeating your '6 game theory' over and over again, no matter what anyone says or how to try to rationalise what they are saying. You're far better off here where you can bask in sanctimony.

Don't be surprised by these people that are hoping for the team to fail just so the manager leaves. LVG got similar treatment and it's disgraceful.

They would rather the team fail than succeed in a way they don't want. Not really sure you can call these type of people fans, wishing the team to lose for their own gain is an awful lot like rival fans.
Of course they aren't fans, if you read some of these posts, they read exactly as if a rival fan is writing it.

I guess the ones who keep throwing out the same 'hysteria' etc clichés are the ones with little or argument to make and will keep repeating it in order to try demean other peoples opinions. Sigh.

@Robbie Boy thanks for re-opening this; I was wondering where it had gone & why it was so quiet.

I'd like the Jose fans to talk amongst themselves here so we could react rather than we having to talk about wanting him out only to be told that we are blind deaf & stupid.

I bumped it just for you as you seem to demean other peoples opinions and belittle what they say in the other thread. Also, I was worried for your sanity due to the exorbitant amount of posts you have there. This is more your style. Quite telling the difference in the thread sizes, though...

Edit: Oops sorry, thought you were that Janson lad. Anyway, enjoy..

There are issues in how the club is ran, over and above the manager - but the situation with Mourinho is becoming tedious.

He's doing what he's done before - most recently at Chelsea. When he's in a hole he just keeps digging. Picking fights, alienating the players and being his own worst enemy. Its bizarre.

This'll end like it did at Chelsea.
I'm not convinced that Jose's history of "picking fights and alienating players" is down to him, rather than down to the clubs he was at. Chelsea and Madrid are known for allowing their players to communicate directly with the board, going over the manager's head with their gripes. It was never a big issue for him at Porto or Inter.

Having said that, perhaps there's an argument to be made for the Galactico approach after Mourinho goes. We've tried the sensible way, why not try the opposite? Let's sack managers after 6 months to a year and forget about giving them time. Let the star players have the sway that they seem to want. Fergie would certainly not approve, and it's not "The Utd Way" but it doesn't seem to have harmed Madrid and Chelsea's success rate over the past decade. Win the league or CL in your first season, or come mighty close, or you're out the door. Instead of spending 5 years giving 2 good managers 2-3 years each to see if they work out, why not try the chance of 5-6 good managers over the same period until one of them hits the ground running. Obviously using this model, City would have ditched Pep after his first season, but hey-ho, we don't have a great deal to lose at the moment and a lot to gain.

If you think it's normal for a manager to get sacked after 6 games, then why isn't he gone already? Probably because the club isn't run by a group of hysteric people with selective amnesia like we see on this forum.

I don't blame you, some of you guys live on drama. How are you gonna cope with Mourinho gone?

Wow patronising... I see you won't stop with the 6 game bollox ;)

Anyhow, I'll leave you be to enjoy it here. I don't blame you, I know loads of people that won't be proven wrong. It's called arrogance, an awful trait mind you...

Well we've had to spend to compete, given how much City are spending. You don't know that it's only due to that we have improved, that's what you're assuming.

I know its due to that based on the fact I cannot name more than 1 player who is playing at a higher level than they were before Jose was here. So that means it can't be the coaching it has to be the spending.

He might be arrogant, but you are equally rude! It’s about time this nonsense among the fans stops. Mourinho is not getting sacked until the club, mathematically, can’t reach CL next year (which tbf is probably what will happen at this rate). So what is the point of it all?

Unless we win every game 4-0 with 20+ shots on target and Pogba getting a hat trick with a dab for every goal, Jose should be sacked.

In 08-09, we won several games 1-0 even against not so top class teams, should SAF have been criticized as well?

Jose plays a tight game but he'a a winner, and if he were managing any other club in the world most of you would be yelling "LvG/Moyes clone out, Jose in".

Mou got us into second place last year, instilling a winning mentality in the squad and not giving up. Isn't that what we craved for after Moyes and LvG?

What's more is Mourinho has won countless titles since he began his management career and managed at top clubs.

Now we have an extroverted player who can't seem to put his hand off his phone questioning the manager's tactics in public and actively using his slimeball of an agent (whom our Legend SAF hated btw) to disrupt the club and force a move elsewhere.

And people still want Mourinho out.

Of course they aren't fans, if you read some of these posts, they read exactly as if a rival fan is writing it.

I've long held the opinion that rival fans are creating accounts on here, just to stir. Hoping the team lose. Saying the manager sucks. Saying the players suck. Basically, these are people who want us to fail. By definition, they cannot be fans of the club if they think the club, manager and players suck and hope for us to lose.

In response to this rhetoric, they put the banners on people's avatar, "City Lover," "Scouse Lover", etc, just to highlight that they may be fans of rival clubs and may not actually be MUFC fans. It's a good idea.

In defence of the Jose haters - he hasn't done well so far this season, but I am hoping he pulls it all together. Now is the time for him to show the World that he still has was it takes.

Didn't he call Wenger a specialist in failure for similar achievements....

No.

Wengers last title, 2004 and a handful of FA Cups in 14 years is what he referred to with that remark. Compare that to Mourinhos haul in the same period and it will make more sense to you, espcially considering the time he said it and what he then went on to do the following season.

Actually, 2004 was his last league title.

If you want to see arrogance look at that thread in which the poster calls fans who are still for Mourinho uber masculine nazis. That was a tad condescending and apparently acceptable.

If this form continues for a while though, you will see that my post will look different regarding Mourinho.

Hopefully with football exciting enough to discuss rather than what mood our manager is in this week.

Agree 100%, just give him and our team some time to settle down, my little finger tells me we'll do a "Manchester United" this season and all the moaners will be put to sleep. We have a more than decent team, one of the best managers in the world, we have history, it's just that our morale is not where we expect it to be. :p

Btw, the poll result is shocking, a bunch of classless fans here, not like some years ago.
Is this a joke?

Sorry but I don't see how sacking a manager after 6 games can be rational. Unless you are influenced by all the stuff going on, on the side and you think we had a terrible season last year.
Sorry but I disagree - both with your opinion and your insinuation of me being influenced.

This is amazing. The hate for Mou knows no bounds. He's become a specialist in failure like Wenger for some.

6 games - you really think this is about 6 games?

Forget amnesia, the Mourinho-IN camp seem to have been in coma for the last year.

Someone mentions Jose's acheivments.

You say "Didn't he call Wenger a specialist in failure for similar acheivements?..."

Does that second line not insinuate that you were referring to him as similar to a specialist in failure?

Hopefully with football exciting enough to discuss rather than what mood our manager is in this week.

The issue is very few managers will deliver the level of exciting football that the caf have ramped up the expectation on. In fact I'd dare say not one available manager will.

It's one of the most false arguments on here that we're boring and those who do it most often are LvG fans still, which is telling

I was expecting another condescending post to someone who wants José out again but I was pleasantly surprised! I agree with you. In the end, we're all on the same side and all want the same thing in regards to United. Times like these we should just stick together and see it through. I've wanted José out for a while now but I've never insulted those that disagree or tried to belittle them. Not intentionally, anyway.. So, yeah, let's all just get along!

I'm making it sound much darker than in reality but you get my point. :D

Well said, too much point scoring going on for nought. If people don't want Mourinho to succeed then I don't see much point in supporting the club then. Evne when Van Gaal was here I knew he was an absolute toss merchant but didn't want the club to lose on purpose. Seem's a genuinely weird phenomenon.

The issue is very few managers will deliver the level of exciting football that the caf have ramped up the expectation on. In fact I'd dare say not one available manager will.

Just watching the team run around looking like they give a shit and being rewarded with a win will do for me. Small steps. Beautiful football is in the eye of the beholder and no two people will ever be satisfied simultaneously regardless of what we play.

Watch the teams of yesteryear and their intensity to beat Ipswich away from home was the same as it was in the derby against the light blue scummers. Don't see it with this lot, to be honest.

6 games - you really think this is about 6 games?

Forget amnesia, the Mourinho-IN camp seem to have been in coma for the last year.
If it's not about 6 games, then why weren't people so vocal about sacking him at the end of last season? The hysteria that's been created on here is more about what's going on between Mourinho and Pogba, and what Mourinho has been saying since last season ended, than actual football.

Again, I look at the table, I think about the performances and I struggle to see what all the mass panic and hysteria is about. I can understand the frustration with all the nonsense stories in the press but that's easy enough to ignore. But I suppose this is what our club's support has become. Honestly it's been as bad if not worse than RAWK and AFTV on here in recent weeks.

I really can’t see any positives for him staying. Even the frosty pressers are embarrassing now.
