The MMA thread

This may be the worst ground and pound I've ever seen, like they are thrown in slow motion.

I'd love Joe B to win tonight but don't think he has it in him. Definitely one of the best fighters to never win a title, unfortunate to be in a division with the GOAT who people only say had 'weak' opponents because he made them look awful. Some excellent fighters in the flyweight division, technically more astute than a lot of other divisions.

If I recall correctly Arman had a good showing against Islam Makhaev (who is a seriously big problem for the top LW guys) recently enough too. Serious potential.

That'll be a very interesting fight. Israel is mile ahead on technique but the question is can he avoid someone who is going to just walk forward throwing bombs until he finishes Israel or gets finished himself. Remember that one punch from Yoel made Izzy change his entire approach and Costa won't sit back, he'll force the action. Anyway Izzy knocks him out in round 4 or 5 I think, technique gap is too much.

Thats probably that for Duffy. 3 in a row and finished twice.

Irish MMA needs a new shot in the arm

It was but I’m not sure he meant it. Was going for a standard leg kick but connected with the knee. He was badly ko’d though

He definitely meant to hurt him though. Now the Georgian improves to a perfect 7-0, with all finishes (3 sub/4 KO/tko)

ps. This angle is more painful to watch hahah

Was just about to say Gastelum looks better in physique. Then he got subbed.

Too bad he loves those burritos and nachos way too much... If he were more professional with his career he might had become champion at his true weight class. He went to a split decision with T.Wood back in 2015, before Twood was shit. Should have sacrificed food for glory.

Hermannson should get a bonus for setting out the perfect sequence for how the middleweight division should play out. Fair play for his bigging up of Cannonier getting the title shot after Izzy vs Costa.

Even as recently as last year he had that madness with Izzy didnt he. Yeah a shame when it's a lack of professionalism that let's em down.

Poor ol Joe. It’s never gonna happen for him now. At least he has that pretty wife to go home to.
