Knocked out arguably the most dominant female champion in UFC and then out pointed her when hardly anybody else was coming close. Last night made Andrade look like a statue at times, class difference was clear to see at times. Run that back in the US and I think we see a different outcome, dominated that fight until the crazy out there slam.
Her career and watching her.
Andrade is like a punching bag at the best of times, walks forward, swings wild out of shape punches and just chases people. Anyone who is semi decent at striking would land a heap on her. It’s not a crazy out there slam, Andrade man handles pretty much all her opponents. Actually expected her to do something similar but just be too strong for Rose on the ground and just smash her up.
How is the US going to make any difference? Did the judges make a decision on a slam or something? No, she got caught and got beaten. How Rose hadn’t been stripped of the title already I don’t know as it had been over a year since her last fight.
Probably not even Rose's best fight ever really.
Card was pretty shit really thought Bellator was probably more entertaining.
Don't know what next for Andrade, Rose doesn't really deserve a rematch she was ridiculously inactive and the only reason there wasn't an interim is cos there is no one in the division. Not that interested in Joanna rematch and honestly don't get why people call for it, she's 1-3 in her last 4 and the 3 losses were title fights, I've said it before but if that was a fighter who was less liked there's be uproar for even suggesting then getting a title shot.
What’s scary about this clip is how accurate he is. So often you see people panic in this situation and just swing and miss, or hit with the forearm or something. All 3 of those punches land smack bang on the chin.

I was super impressed by Rose in the first. She looked the best version of herself, some true matrix-style striking and evasive manoeuvres. Jessica was being schooled, totally outclassed and then the slam. Wtf can you do?!
Someone needs to take Dom to the aide and tell him he has to stop trying to predict what will happen and talk about what is happening.

How’s that change what I said though. I wasn’t surprised she was defeated. Vastly overrated and it’s easy to look brilliant if you’re a semi decent striker against someone like Andrade. Look back to the Joana vs Andrade fight to see her fighting on the back foot, slipping and hitting and moving.

Seriously though the level Rose reached in that first round was nothing short of a masterclass and surpasses anything that I have seen from Joanna or Valentina in a single round.

It doesn’t change what you said, nor does it in any way make it true. If you watched the fight you’d know Rose isn’t “vastly overrated” and was simply unlucky after dominating the fight up to that point.
Not sure how she's overrated? She best JJ twice, once by KO and once by points. This was a fighter people were saying is one of the best female fighters ever. She still was the betting underdog in this fight against andrade. And she was clearly the better fighter here until that crazy slam.
Yes it’s called an opinion, what you’re debating that she isn’t vastly overrated just because you’re saying she isn’t doesn’t make that true either.
She is vastly overrated and should have been stripped of the belt months ago.
Anyway to repeat myself anyone who is competent at striking is going to look good against Andrade because Andrade will chase you all over the ring and take shots so she can try and get a hold of you. She throws wild looping punches that people like Rose can take advantage of. See JJ vs Andrade for a similar display of fighting on the back foot hitting, slipping and moving.
Rose in my opinion is very overrated. She’s a standard Joe Rogan fighter. Looks good has some good displays therefore the masses suddenly put her on a pedastool like she is the best thing since sliced cheese.

Nobody with any degree of MMA knowledge thinks she’s vastly overrated. Beating the greatest straw weight ever, twice, tends to put fighters on a pedestal, and rightfully so. Nothing that she did last night did anything to change that. And if you watched the fight yesterday you’d know Rogan wasn’t even commentating. Bizarre opinion to say the least.

I’d happily argue that the people that don’t think she is overrated actually know very little about MMA but each to their own. Pointless discussion. She was overrated in my opinion and again I’m not surprised she was beaten. End of discussion, you don’t agree with that fine I can live with that.

He's also exciting to watch and leaves everything in the ring.
Let go once she had you up on her shoulders and try to get off......so many fighters hang on and try to tough it out until they get slammed on their neck.....Andrade is avg fighter at best...was getting picked apart....wont hold the belt for long....if she rematches Rose, she loses.....or the Boogeywoman knocks her out.

Thought Volkanovski might of got the shot personally. I like Edgar but he hasn't really been active seems like a case of them giving Edgar one last shot before he calls it a day. Can't see him troubling Mac to much really.
I like Frankie but he's not deserving of this shot. 1-1 in his last two, the win being against Cub. How the hell does that deserve a shot over Volkanovski? Doesn't matter though, Max will deal with him easily I reckon.
I’d like to see Volkanovski square up against Zabit and the winner fight for the belt.
Volkanovski has beat Mendes and Aldo in his last 2 that's surely enough for a title fight. Zabit has really only fought Stephens with name value, they should of gone for Volkanovski vs. Holloway and Zabit vs. Edgar if anything for me.
Zabit will get a longer build, no point making him fight Volkanovski and eliminating a future contender when there aren't too many contenders in the running as it is.
