Is it me or do I feel like it’s the worst punch to get caught?

Yeah I'm of the same opinion. A top class pressure fighter has always been Barboza's kryptonite. Very impressive to KO him in the first round though as he's an top level fighter.

As @Fortitude and @Fener1907 said nothing wrong with a well timed overhand. Its quite a skilled shot in many ways and the movement of the head can make it hard to read. In this instance it was disguised with a fake jab, fake level change then boom.

Top level fighters shouldn't be hit with overhands imo, it has too much distance to cover and leaves you open for the counter. Only tall fighters tend to use it effectively.

I swear he kicks harder than any other lightweight. I flinch each time he lands that low leg kick. I don't know how Poirier withstood that, I really don't.
Alvarez is done, he lucked out really winning the RDA fight and getting the McGregor payday.
He should of lost the first Poirier fight, the Gaejthe fight probably took 10 years off his life and he's looked poor since then. To his credit he used to go in there and not give up but that seemingly changed in this fight, not sure if it's the huge pay day he's guarenteed to make that has made him lose some desire but he doesn't look the same.

What makes me think, in this instance, Conor was fecked is that even he clearly thought he'd crossed the line when he decided to delete his tweet calling a burka a towel.
If anything he seems completely sober since he actually deleted the tweet.
Sounds like a typical "Conor promoting a fight" kind of post, not that it makes it alright of course.
If I had to guess I don't think he's to arsed whether he crosses a line or not, I think he was probably made to delete the tweet by others. He's posted plenty of stuff in the past which may imply he was fecked and it's stayed up.
Either way I think this fight is happening next, I doubt the UFC are arsed whether it holds up the division or whatever, it will generate them by far the most buys and Khabib and McGregor know it's probably the fight that makes them the most money.
People really need to stop using this as an excuse for the likes of conor and trump.

I don't think the President of the USA tweeting stuff and McGregor have quite the same impact in the world to be fair.
McGregor is a celebrity, people choose to read it or not....it should have no impact on anyones lives what so ever. Trump is the President of probably the most powerful country in the world, his tweets have actions and consequences to them.
The "he is doing this to promote a fight/ x doesnt believe this he is just saying it for y reasons". Its why some still argue that trump isnt racist or that he was going to pivot @Raoul

I don't particularly pay attention to American politics (obviously I'm aware of Trump!) so won't get involved in that kind of stuff.
I think it's fair to assume McGregor is a dick with what is rumoured to happen in his personal life but I'd say it's fair to assume plenty of stuff he says is to hype up fights. Maybe he doesn't agree with the culture of the burka either and it is his view point but I think McGregor on twitter has far less impact than others and he probably does use it as a marketing tool quite a lot. Look through his tweets/instagram. 90% of it is whiskey or fight hype.

I've never particularly agreed with holding sports stars or celebrities up as pillars of society though. They are just people who happen to be in the lime light and never really took it on themselves to be role models. They are bound to have views that people won't agree with or stuff they have done...as I am sure you and I both do.
