Jones-Gustafsson should be another classic. That first fight was when I was first starting to get into UFC, an incredible advert for the sport. I still think it was the wrong decision given.

Was just thinking just now that I hadn't seen Gustafsson fight for a while, went to check and I realise that he hasn't fought at all in 2018. I'm worried whether he'll have some ring-rust.

He last fought a month or two before Jones last fight so they could both be equally rusty.

Plus Jones has only had around 3-4 fights in the last 5 years due to steroids continuing to magically appear in his system.

Is ring rust actually a real thing ? Dominick Cruz never had it for example

How do you know? are you a pro athlete?

PEDs use will make your stamina much better, which is probably one of the most important aspects in a fight, specially when you are past the first rounds.

If all the athletes were on it, it would be fair game, but that's not the case, Jones is a fecking cheater.

If they should or not be allowed is for another discussion. In the UFC fighters should fight clean until the rules says otherwise.

Not a pro, but I am athlete.

I don't disagree with your statement. Yes, EPOs will provide stamina.

As for the biggest and #1 advantage - recovery. If you can train 20x more combinations without getting injured with same amount the rest. This inturn makes you quicker, faster and more agile and hence more power.

Basically what I am saying is that, you cannot just take PED and expect to kick ass with the same amount of effort as before.

I don't understand this. I usually support ''bad guys" but Jones is a cheating scum. Just can't see how anyone can root for him.

If you learnt in some alternate world that Cantona was on steroids, would you love him less? If it were the case, maybe we should but I know in my heart I wouldn't.

I actually would not like him as much.

I like athletes for their skills and my favourite player of man United is Peter schmeichel. If I found out he was shooting juice up his ass, I'd feel cheated and not admire him.

What time will the co-main start UK please?

I'm a bit sick so doubt I'll stay up for the whole thing. Planning to sleep early and wake up for the Cyborg fight.

Enough fighters have spoken about it for it to be real but that doesn't mean it will effect every fighter. It's largely a mental block really isn't it? You wouldn't expect that to impact different fighters with different mindsets and different preparation in the same way. That mental/intellectual side of things has always been a strength of someone like Cruz.

Which is just crazy when you see his list of opponents and his record. What could he have achieved if he wasn't such a dickhead? He had cleared out his division by his mid twenties.

Instead, he cleared out his dealer.

And cars at traffic lights.

His original run from Shogun onwards was amazing, it felt like he was in a super fight every other month. Would have been really interesting to see what he did if he had not gone off the rails. Stay in lhw and run up a massive win record, or go up to heavyweight and challenge himself. What a waste.

To flip that what if you learnt that Barca were juiced to the gills in the 2009 and 2011 Champions League finals?

PED's are fine if everyones on them but clearly they are not. So it's unfair.

I honestly don't know i happen to think he's the most gifted fighter maybe ever, i mean the guy didn't even really train Jiu-jitsu until recently but has submitted black belts. He could have been a 2 weight world champ by now and undoubtedly the greatest ever, if not for all the shit he's got involved in the last 4 years.

But i think it's fair that because of his repeated drug test failures people will always wonder how much PED'S he was taking before Usada came onto the scene. Personally i think a lot.

A ton of money. Last night i was talking with a friend exactly about that. Conor changed the game in terms of money, and Jones has been missing on all of that.

I listened to the whole pod...it was interesting... certainly credible from all the info....check it out and judge for yourself afterwards.

It's presented by and it's guest are both employees of UFC.

It's literally what they want you to hear. No more credible than MUTV would be about United. Basicslly it's ridiculously biased towards their agenda

Great job Montel! Made it look really easy.

ps. I'm glad he acknowledged he missed weight in his post fight interview. Hopefully it won't happen again.

Hope gustafsson wins tonight. Jones doesn’t deserve the big paycheque he’ll get in the fight after it, all the steroid stuff has tarnished his reputation beyond repair for me.
