The MMA thread

You would’ve thought Blaydes would’ve prepared to deal with Ngannou’s punching during his camp by staying out of range, at least in the beginning til he gassed a bit. Oh well....

Tbh, he semi blocked that punch but Ngannou is just an animal.
I'm surprised Blaydes didn't immediately go for a takedown.

He did but Ngannou was having none of it and stuffed it easy. After that mini boost he went after Blaydes and 10 seconds later he was pummelling him.

To think Liddell wanted to fight Jones... Man would have got KO'd when they touched gloves.

Hopefully this will be the end.

So they're trying to do Adesanya vs. Anderson Silva... not sure how I feel about that.

I swear I heard Adesanya say he wasn't interested in that fight...big money I suppose and it's a well known name still when he wins (he'll also be back up for a pull out in the main event.)

Should be a good fight, think MVP takes it. Seems strange to have it in US though.

Better for the viewers around the globe. Those UK cards are usually played deferred so I'm glad. Should be a nice fight. Big step up for MVP, but if he is the real deal, he should get it done.

TUF finale early prelims starting now.

Not seen TUF in quite a few years, are they any good?
Is that the last fight before RDA-Usman?

Very few names i know in this event, worth staying up?

Can't say i rate the finalists of this TUF edition.

the heavyweights finalists doesn't look like anything special. There was a cuban olympic wrestler (who defeated DC), same age as DC when he joined MMA, and i thought he could make some noise, but the guy is an athlete, not a fighter. One punch to the face and he wants to quit. Kinda like Anthony Johnson. He lost in the semifinals.

And the girls, supposedly featherweights, are more like bantamweights. One of the finalists, Macy Chiasson has been super vicious so i hope she wins.

Munhoz vs Caraway looks like a good fight, but in general this card is not the best.

Sorry Dana

Weird ref decision there, will be interesting to see replay

Is anyone watching this? Gorgees with the worst Diaz impression in history
I don't think the term "poor man's xxx" has ever been more appropriate.

Seems a nice enough guy but I think it's typical UFC again rushing them in. He struggled Vs Arlovski this was always going to be a tough fifhf

Aye, he was matched very tough very early. On the flipside, at his age the loss shouldn't set him back too badly, and I'd hate for UFC to veer too sharply towards the boxing model of preserving a fighter's undefeated record at all costs for ages by feeding them cans.
