The MMA thread

Two moronic posts.
Listen, I should’ve left out the Russian part but otherwise the post was entirely justified, or would you disagree that attacking a defenseless person is anything else than pure scumbag behaviour?

And I’m not saying that McGregor is above any of that, cos he’s obviously not. But Khabib could’ve showed class and be above all that shite and he didn’t, showing what he’s really made of. They have a weird sense of pride over there.

That was great, reminded me of the good old days where beef was real. Things went downhill after Aldo tbh.

Absolutely no problem on my end with Khabib’s actions after the fight. (His man who vaulted the cage to land a few on McGregor is a different story but entirely understandable at the same time.) McGregor’s disrespect and vulgarity crosses the line far, far too often and he got his just desserts tonight.

Khabib was a stone-cold killer in preparation, not reacting to McGregor’s cheap stunts in the build-up, was ultra professional in the octagon tonight and then all the hate and anger poured out of him post-fight. Only the biggest McGregor fanboi would be offended with his behaviour after the submission tonight.

I'm not offended by it but it isn't justifiable. Regardless of how badly you clearly wish it to be.

I don't watch UFC but watched this fight randomly. Why is this Khabib lad doing crazy shit like that for?

McGregor is known to talk a lot of shit to and about his opponents before a fight.
He's literally not caring about the fight, but how much he can earn from it, so he's trying to promote it.
He talked shit about Khabib, his father, his coach, and pretty much anyone and anything related to Khabib.
I understand Khabib's reaction, but i think it sucks that he did it... should have stayed in the cage and enjoyed the win...

No fanboi here. About as far from it as you can get. I can't even stand McGregor.

But what Khabib did was asinine, plain and simple. Zero class on his part, as well as that of his corner men.

Only a "fanboi" would take offense to a fighter jumping the cage and attacking a coach? Sure thing

Says someone who obviously isn't religious. You can't say that without walking a mile in his shoes.

You can say this to excuse all manners of shitty behavior. You honestly think taking the piss out of a Muslim for not drinking excuses violence?

Here it is, before it gets removed

There should be no Champion after that. He didn't deserve his belt after two incidents that should be prosecuted as assault and battery. kabib should be in jail tonight.
Ferguson gets first dibs on fighting the two-bit thug from

So Conor is a horrible bigot because he called Khabib backwards but you calling McGregor a "leprechaun twat" is perfectly fine apparently. Wise up.
I'm not in the fight game, am I? Even so, it's in the heat of the moment, and if I offended anyone, I apologise.

Conor said what he said to get an advantage, but it backfired and now he's fecked. He reaped what he sowed with everything he said in the build up. Khabib remained dignified all the way through and he just snapped at the end. Also, I wonder what Dillon said to make Khabib do what he did, wouldn't be surprised if that was also Islamophobic in nature too...

He didn't attack a defenseless person. He went after another fighter, who looked to be bigger than he is, and the guy gave better than he got by the looks of it. If you look at the twitch clip. Conor also looks to not exactly be innocent in the part he was involved with. Guy jumps into cage, runs past Conor, Conor says/does something, guy comes back towards Conor, Conor and that dude swing at each other. Second guy in red shirt jumps into cage and takes a swing at Conor. Looks to have clipped him.

Conor took it to unchartered waters in the build up and should never have said what he said, made it needlessly personal. He reaped what he sowed.
I don't have a dog in this fight.
McGregor is a cnut. The incident with the bus was despicable and I would have gladly seen him thrown in jail and never fight again after that.

This "he started it" shit is embarrassing though, and it's endless. An eye for an eye (little bus reference there) and all that... They're 30 years old, not 10.

And I will never condone something throwing a sucker punch, as many in here seem to be doing. Khabib proved tonight he was the better fighter, McGregor was breaking rules throughout, he ruined the chance to show he was the better man though, two pricks.

I just saw a clip of the shit after. Looks like Conor threw a punch at one of Khabibs boys, one of Khabibs boys threw a punch at the same time, and then the dude in red took a swing and might have hit Conor from behind.

Three of Khabib’s men went for McGregor at the end of the fight.

He might keep his mouth shut in future but he’s a clown, so who knows?

Dana let's Conor get away with basically whatever he wants so it's no surprise the long of the division got pissed off. Conor threw a kick in the stare down and Dana told Khabibs team to stand back.

All that 'send location' talk wasn't fight hype. Khabib is a legit monster and Conor isnt.

He stood by while his team for called rats, terrorists etc. Did his business, then lost it. Hard to blame him, but it isn't ideal.

Got to question Connor's heart here again imo. He have Nate his back which was basically asking to get the fight finished, and then today. Relatively easy for Khabib, against many people's P4P best.

So he says but I doubt that would've happened. He did after all win the fight convincingly.

And then proceded to start a riot. Him and his red shirt thug should have been arrested on the spot IMO. He should be spending tonight in a Las Vegas jail cell.

Thev dude in the red who threw a right at Conor is Zubaira Tukhugov, another ufc fighter. Well, not anymore I guess.

Ah ok, it sucks as a non UFC fan to see a winner react like that. Just highly unprofessional IMO.

Just because he’s also a fighter doesn’t mean he wasn’t defenseless.

Two wrongs don’t make a right, I shouldn’t have to put a disclaimer in my posts that McGregor is a cnut before I’m able to call Khabib one as well.

It wasn't just the drinking, he called his manager a terrorist, and his dad the puppet of a fecking tyrant. Going to family alone is a step too far as is, but to add religion into it, for a deeply religious man who adheres to the most scrutinised religion in the world, I can absolutely see why he snapped the way he did.

You can't see the start but it looks like Khabib's coach is already getting held back before he gets away and runs at McGregor again, so maybe he had already punched Mcgregor. And then after the guy in the red punches him a third guy goes at him then too. All 3 of those guys should get in big trouble.

Was expecting Khabib to outfight McGregor, wasn't expecting him to outscumbag him too. Impressive, sort of.

Of course McGregor talks shit, it's the fight game, that happens. No excuse for some prick to jump in the cage and attack him from behind though. Cowardly stuff.

Anyway, extremely dominant from Khabib. Even matched up in the striking.

No excuses for what happened after the fight, but McGregor crossed all lines prior to that and knowing where Khabib is from, this mess was long time coming. McGregor was baiting him for months, mocking his religion, insulting his father, etc. Dagestan isn't the kind of place you can talk shit about someone's family and faith and they'll just let it slide. There are blood feuds in that part of the world that go back decades, if not centuries. You can get killed for something like that.

Somehow Conor fans seem to forget how out of control he was for months in the build up to the fight. Any average Joe would have been locked up for the bus attack alone. But Dana White only sees $$$ and the more controvercy, the better for his bottom line. I bet before that crowd fight was over he was already hatching a plan in that bald head of his on how to make a few more bucks out of Khabib vs Conor II: The Dagestani Barbarian vs The Irish Wanker or something of that nature.

Just because he’s also a fighter doesn’t mean he wasn’t defenseless.

"Defenseless" person, indicates someone who is not capable of defending themselves.

Dillion Danis is a legit fighter who has been called "A better version of Khabib", and he handled himself fine. So "attacking a defenseless person" is a little hyperbolic.

Wow he really said all of that

My reply had nothing to do with the bolded. Doesn't justify making the comment.

I'm just talking about Khabib, the sucker punch was definitely 100% wrong, and I have no qualms in agreeing with you there.

Anyway, UFC is basically WWF Attitude era

Yeah, I have lost big respect for Mcgregor as a fighter after that.

Tapped at the first opportunity really.
