Not condoning what Khabib did but it wasn't that long ago McGregor threw a dolly through a bus window...

I Should have put money on this. I predicted that Khabib would win this by submission.
Very expected outcome IMO. Khabib is the worst fight stylistically for Conor.
Khabib will hopefully face Ferguson and I think Conor has one or two superfights left I him. I think he'll do Diaz 3 and maybe one more then retire from MMA.
 
Quitter McGregor taps again.

Guy is in zero danger, and taps to a neck crank. Yea, it hurts, but it isn't going to put you to sleep. Conor did relatively well in the first round negating Khabib, but the guy doesn't have a warriors spirit.

Khabib won in such wonderful fashion I don't know why he felt the need to do that. Not just have the chance to be the bigger/better man, he proved he was better, then ruined it. Showed what he's made of.

I agree with what Bisping said.

The difference in class between the Ferguson fight and this one...
 
Bisping saying what Khabib did is unforgivable, like Conor didn't just injure other fighters for no reason just a few months ago... feck off, you total, and utterly blinkered twat.

100%, there's literally no pre fight hype needed. These two fecking hate each other.

In fairness to McGregor his ability to get under the skin of his opponents is legendary but I did think he went a bit far in this one. I miss the version of him when he started out and was humble.

Next fight will probably be closed arena! Lol

Yeah bet you were laughing back in April when Conor showed up with 30 Irish lads and smashed up a bus injuring innocent people in the process. It was classles and I wish Khabib didn't do what he did but what goes around comes around.

Say it's revenge for the bus attack and all that but someone making fun of your religion isn't really a good excuse.
 
Genuinely impressed with Khabib's domination. I thought Conor's punching would be more of a factor going in and it turns out Khabib landed just about as good as Conor did.

The after fight nonsense was ridiculous, but all things said its hard to say Khabib isn't the best in the business right now. Looking forward to watching him go up against Ferguson.

Oh and Dana not giving Khabib the belt because he humiliated his cash cow before the world. :lol:

Was expecting Khabib to outfight McGregor, wasn't expecting him to outscumbag him too. Impressive, sort of.

Of course McGregor talks shit, it's the fight game, that happens. No excuse for some prick to jump in the cage and attack him from behind though. Cowardly stuff.

Anyway, extremely dominant from Khabib. Even matched up in the striking.

Conor took it to unchartered waters in the build up and should never have said what he said, made it needlessly personal. He reaped what he sowed.
 
Absolutely no problem on my end with Khabib’s actions after the fight. (His man who vaulted the cage to land a few on McGregor is a different story but entirely understandable at the same time.) McGregor’s disrespect and vulgarity crosses the line far, far too often and he got his just desserts tonight.

Khabib was a stone-cold killer in preparation, not reacting to McGregor’s cheap stunts in the build-up, was ultra professional in the octagon tonight and then all the hate and anger poured out of him post-fight. Only the biggest McGregor fanboi would be offended with his behaviour after the submission tonight.

It's funny, how Conor can be a cnut for 6 months, but when Khabib shows what he thinks about it, after the fight (which he obviously shouldn't have done), then he is the bad guy.

By the way a very dominating win, even if Conor tried to use all the tricks in the book... elbow to the back of the head, toes in the fence, illegal knee to the head when Khabib was on the ground.

I am not fussed about Khabib’s actions. McGregor was at least equally classless.
