Impressive.

I was sure Latifi was gonna win but never like that. I thought Latifi was gonna wrestlefeck him for 3 rounds. OSP is way too unreliable.

LOL @ Latifi calling DC out.

Latifi needs to fight someone like Oezdimir or Gustaffson before he reaches DC.

Happy for Ilir, proper nice guy. His issue now is that Manuwa and Gus are both teammates of his. Oezdemir next I reckon.

Gustaffson will fight Rocklhold next it seems, but yeah, Latifi is really crazy if he thinks he is getting a title shot anytime soon. Even Shogun Rua might be ahead of him for a title shot.

At least 2 more Oezdemir level opponents.

Absolutely, I think Latifi will fancy his chances against him. He's a very good wrestler and is incredibly strong.

Completely agree. I think Latifi is the real deal but then again he's also lost to the likes of Bader and Blachowicz, so I'd like to see him beat a top contender before being in the title discussions.

Tbf, and I know it's a bad excuse, but he was beating Bader before getting a random knee to the head.
He's diversified his training now spending a lot of time in Thailand and the US so he's improving all the time.

Meh I think it’s a bit of a cnutish thing to say. Trash talk is fine it happens but that just seems a dick head thing to say. Covington tries to hard really.

He's definitely an idiot. Can't quite tell if that's how he actually is or whether he's doing a shit job of attempting to market himself for bigger fights.

fecking Dana

Mackenzie Dern debuts next weekend.

Fight was cancelled, and he was suspended. I heard his cut of the fight was given to the opponent too, but not entirely sure.

well, something is something.

Finally coming to Chile... not surprised the lack of starpower though haha.

Some hot chicks at least and one guaranteed high-level fight in Luque (his dad or mother is chilean) vs Laprisse.

I expect Ponzinibio to headline, he is looking for an opponent (already called out Cowboy, that would be nice, but someone higher level would be better)

Oh Gawd......please make it stop

Just Dana trying to get one up on WWE, as Ronda Rousey had her contract signing that day. Doubt he give Lesnar a multi million pound fight just for him to fail a drugs test after again.

UFC has little star power. Conor is inactive, GSP is injured/done again/inactive, Jones is suspended, Rousey is retired. Their fox numbers are going down, their PPVs aren't doing great, they seemingly have an inability to promote any fighters at all.

I remember when the UFC was sold nearly 2 years ago they said Dana had a 5 year contract. I reckon he'll be done after that, I doubt he's arsed about the future of it really rather than making himself some tidy money right now by bringing back people like Lesnar. In someway you can't blame him, he's got himself a really good deal and already had 500million in the bank.

I think the Fertita brothers sold at just the right time. The UFC fecked itself by creating the lopsided points system whereby they pay their top fighters a percentage of the PPV earnings for the specific PPV event they are fighting in. What that has created is an unbalanced system whereby about 5 or so fighters (let's say McGregor, Rousey, Jones, GSP, Lesnar, maybe Cormier, maybe Nate Diaz) get a disproportionate amount of money while the fighters at the bottom of the card get virtually feck all. This has enriched the Fertitia Brothers, Dana White and the handful of afrementioned fighters, but it has also in the process fecked the UFC if any one of most of the fighters stop fighting. At that point (as we are seeing now) PPV numbers will drop and none of the old owners or Dana will care much since they are already extremely wealthy. The UFC needs stars in a bad way right now or else they will slowly slide back into the small time.

Yeah I agree the system is pretty messed up.

I don't particularly blame the fighters for making the most of it, why would they not but you're right it doesn't work overall.

I'd of loved to of been a fly on the wall when the offer was made, I imagine they couldn't believe their luck in all honesty.

They have potential to have some big name fighters there and some interesting characters. The UFC however doesn't seem interested in them at all. It's odd....then again nothing is odd in a company where the face of the bosses shits all over the fighters in press conferences when it suits him.

Good blog that deal with PPV numbers.
