Yeah there's no doubt he's enjoying himself since the Floyd pay day I imagine he's treating himself a bit. No excuse for what he did it's stupid thing to do, I doubt he gets banned probably apologizes and it's forgotten. No point calling Dana a hypocrite or whatever cos everyone would do the same course he gets treated different to other fighters.
No surprise with Anderson been flagged in past and was one of the best in an era where everyone was juicing.

With any other fighter a 12 month ban would hardly raise eyebrows given the precedent set with other fighters like Roy Nelson. Bit of a joke if they let McGregor get away with whatever he wants.
But who punishes him? No state as it wasn't in the U.S and UFC won't do anything because it's wasn't at their event.

According to Luke Thomas yesterday, any suspension leveled by the commission in charge at this Bellator event would typically be adopted by the state commissions in the US?
Theres no chance in hell the Irish commission bans Conor so all of this talk really should end.

It's not an Irish commission who would be involved though, is it? It's the Mohegan commission as far as I'm aware, at least in terms of pushing the issue towards those in a position to sanction McGregor.
According to Okamato, the UFC or commisions like Nevada are in a position to punish McGregor even if they weren't directly involved in the event. Whether they do or what form it takes is another matter.

He rebounded well against Edgar following the Conor loss so I'm going to guess he will do the same here. This is actually a card I would consider watching.
Bisping trying to step in for Anderson against Gastelum. What a guy. Always game and ready.

Of course I would've watched it since its scheduled after Reem v Ngannou which is an interesting fight. If not for that, I would've considered Edgar v Holloway a rather uninispring match up. Both good fighters with almsot zero charisma or narrtive to them.

Frankie Edgar is one of my favorite fighters.
I didn’t have you down as someone who cared about character and narrative.
It's not the most important thing but it is nice to have some sort of backstory or interesting narrative to make the audience care a bit about watching them fight. Obviously the likes of Conor and Bisping go well overboard in that regard; obviously to sell the card for maximum PPV points. I like it somewhere in the middle - maybe in the DC v Jones range.
Wow sounds like Bisping vs Gastelum could be happening. You have to respect the feck out of Bisping.

I'm beginning to like Bisping more and more. A real fighter. He talks a lot of trash to hype the fights but he is always willing to get in to the Octagon.
Which to my mind, makes it ludicrous when people say he ducks people

Yea he would have fought them I'm sure. He is from the Sonnen and McGregor school of thought who will fight anyone at anytime. Even if outmatched.
People say the same about McGregor ducking fights too but he beat Mendes and Aldo at featherweight
Would have fought RDA who people were calling a beast. Faced Diaz twice at an non advantageous weight category and destroyed Alvarez.
The thing about British and Irish fighters is they are game.
Its admirable that Bisping is dusting himself off to fight again after getting his belt taken away from a retired fighter, but he definitely was ducking fighters when he was champ for obvious reasons. When you're that late in your career and in possession of a belt you are incentivized to keep the belt for as long as possible to make as many PPV points $$$ prior to retirement. Bisping simply wanted to take care of himself and his family and taking easy fights was the best way to do it. I don't fault him for wanting to take care of his family, but lets face it, that division is more stacked than any other and there are loads of fighters other than Dan Henderson and GSP who deserved to fight for the belt. One was on the cusp of retirement and the other was retired. So lets not kid ourselves here.
Thing is, the UFC offered him Hendo. Why would he turn that down? It's not like he called Hendo out.
As for GSP, he'd be mad not to take that. The biggest money fight outside McNugget.
He wanted to fight Henderson so he could keep his belt. Fight Night events dont earn fighters much money so he had to find a way to keep the belt long enough to get to the next actual UFC PPV event, which somehow took over a year and ended with a massive PPV points pay day in the GSP fight.
Maybe your right but I don't remember him calling out Hendo. I remember Dana saying they want bisping V Hendo.
I'd imagine Dana and the UFC wanted Bisping to stay on has champ for as long as possible. He and his mouth are great fight promoters in contrast to someone like Weidman or Romero for instance. BTW, I'm not blaming Bisping for any of this. The UFC were obviously active participants as well.
Body triangles can exert alot of pressure. I tore someones intercostal muscles rolling as I had it on tight and they tried to twist around. Instant stoppage.
Disagree about Bisping ducking fights too. He's as game as they come.
Yeah with the Hendo fight I'm not sure Bisping had much sway over that at all to be honest. I reckon he'd have taken a fight with anyone but the UFC pushed toward a winnable fight there, possibly with one eye on the potential GSP fight for which Bisping (and his mouth) could boost the buys.
