Woodley's skillset matches up too well against Maia. If you could design an opponent to beat Maia, it would literally almost be Woodley. Phenomenal wrestling and phenomenal power.

Woodley was always in control but didn't pull the trigger like he can do. A tactical fight from both that in the end was a boring one.

As Cruz said the style can work again a lot of the top 10. When you're getting to the top 3 elite level it doesn't work.
Woodley is annoying when he fights with his back to the cage without throwing anything. He has the tools to be an exciting fighter but he fights way too safe. Maia was there to be knocked out.

I do agree with the sentiment but it's probably easier said than done against someone who is such a specialist in 1 field and that's something he has fought against in his last 3 fights.
The GSP fight will be interesting if it happens. I agree with what Woodley said the other day GSP wouldn't want any of Woodley and will still rather fight Bisping.

True. I think it's another reason he has had a few bad fights. People are aware of the power so are reluctant to commit to any kind of stroking. Lawler was last person who did and look what happened to him.
