The MMA thread

It'll happen sometime no doubting that and when it does I hope all the bandwagoners that know damn all about the sport but think they do feck the hell off. I'm sick of them now at this stage.
I think that's what I'm getting at, I watch occasionally, I enjoy what I see but I'm not a huge fan, as in I don't go out of my way to tune in. But I have friends who have suddenly developed MMA encyclopaedias In the past few weeks and every single one of them is pulling their puds over McGregor and for this reason (plus the fact he comes across to me as a complete wank basket) that I want to see him lose.

The same way I wanted to see Rousey lose to Holm.

They can be a bit annoying, but I don't get that. They're putting money into the sport you enjoy, it gets bigger and maybe more fighters will choose MMA instead of going into boxing. Plus, the fighters get to make more well deserved money, since most of them don't get paid enough.

I personally don't see anything wrong with those fans, if they pay attention they will there is a lot to MMA and UFC overall.

But isn't that the same as ABU or wanting to see Tiger lose when he was dominant?

Bit too much respect shown by both men there but correct descision.

Thought that might be the fight of the night, was pish.

GSP in the house!

Edit: feck all these promos ffs.

Edit 2: Sure you can't walk out any slower cupcake?

Miesha got so close there, I really thought she had her.

Holly is lighting her up now. Miesha needs to get her down again in the next round and get some ground and pound.

Good fight!

I give Holly 1 & 3 but 2 could have been a 10-8 round.

Hard to see Holly stopping Miesha here.

Good round for Holly, starting to control the fight more and landing some strikes.

Miesha does it! Thought she would, she looked good. Great finish

Wow!

But gutted I really like Holly, but what a great fight!!!!

Impressed Holly didn't even tap!

I thought Holly recovered after that 2nd round and had turned things aroung...but, Meisha kept coming - very brave and aggressive.

Great fight and something for Rousey to think about...see, this is what happens when you have a plan and strategy.

That was an odd-looking rear naked choke with the forearm applying pressure on the back of the neck. Not the conventional style.
