feck yeah! DC to get manhandled?

I thought Sage had a comfortable first round and had the beating in the striking.

It'll probably do him good to be humbled in such a way. He literally took the fight to the one place he was guaranteed to lose it.

It would be one thing if he ended up on his back from a takedown but Barberena wasn't even shooting for them. Just came about from a daft heel kick thing.

The issue with Sage may very well be that because he is so rounded and competent is so many areas he'll always be inclined to try something mad. Went spectacularly poorly for him there in a fight he seemed to be controlling.

stepping up to welterweight definitely affected him. He was dominating but got tired quickly i think.
looking forward to his next fight, hopefully in his definitive division.

I think they may use Bones DC to raise interest in UFC 200. They need to do something like this. It's likely to be the biggest fight outside of Ronda Holm 2 and McGregor vs. Anyone.

Speaking of McGregor, did anyone see his 'prediction' promo last night? The UFC conveniently "forget" that he predicted he would beat Siver within 2 minutes, and even went to edit in a way that made it sound like he said 2 rounds

Bader got hammered there real quick. Again, I got spoiled by my tendency to fast forward through everything except the fights.
Great finish by Rothwell too, and I was surprised to see Sage tap that fast, but I can understand. He's still a kid with an unbelievable record so far, even negating the tap out.

People have been so harsh to him on Twitter, especially other fighters. I get it to an extent as they feel he has had a lot of unfair priveledges, mainly with fight pay and it's therefore easy to get stuck into that same person when he taps out so easily but it's also a bit too harsh as he is still a young kid that comes across as someone who lives positive and has nothing bad to say about anybody.

Ben Henderson gone to Bellator

Real shame and very surprised they would t match the offer

One of the great things about mma these days is that most of the top guys are in the same organisation and we get to see the best fight the best. Hate to see guys like Benson leave. Others like Aljo Sterling and maybe even Overeem might be leaving too. If they can get better money that way then good for them, but it is annoying that the UFC won't match or provide a better offer considering how little they pay out in fighter salaries compared to their revenue. They must feel confident that they can afford to let some of the bigger names go, however it's not a trend they'll want to keep up or Bellator might slowly build its way into being another genuine Strikeforce like alternative. There's already some decent fight to be made there with Benson, Will Brooks, Daley and a few others.

Silva vs Bisping only on fight pass apparently. Shambles that in my opinion if that is the case, probably the biggest fight in UK - UFC history and you can't watch it on the main provider.

BT dont have the rights for them

IVe subscirbed to fight pass for the past 2 years and find it pretty good though. So its all the same to me

If you have a vpn service, fight pass is great value. Switch your location to France and you can get every single event live apart from the PPV main cards. I often watch through that rather than BT because it doesn't cut to ads so you sometimes get slightly more walk-out/aftermath footage. Obviously you also have the entire catalogue of past events including PRIDE/WEC etc if you ever want to go back and watch. PPV's normally become available in there a couple month or so afterwards.

Regarding the Silva-Bisping fight, they are using it as a push to try and get people to subscribe to the service. If you wanted to you could get the free trial for that event and cancel afterwards. With the domestic restrictions FP is not worth it unless you really want the catalogue, but having a vpn makes a huge difference. I'm selfishly hoping France never legalise mma for this reason haha.

Apparently the UFC offered a "great" offer to Benson but there was a stipulation. The real money would only come in once he is champion and starts defending the belt. With the way the UFC handle title challengers (e.g. Woodley, Frankie Edgar etc), there is a realistic chance Benson would never have seen that money. On top of that, Benson can make more money off sponsors in Bellator and this is a great decision for him and his family.

The UFC really take advantage of their fighters and if more fighters did what Benson has just done, things would have to change at the UFC. Imagine Bellator get Sterling and Overeem, big draws, especially the Reem... many others who feel hard done by will start looking at their options and the UFC will be screwed.

they really feck it up with Benson. He is a big name and should be getting the big bucks with or without title. Unbelievable from the UFC.

A fecking shame, he is a class act. Ill definitely gonna keep watching his fights in Bellator.

This is pretty much how I felt watching Wonderboy smash the garden gnome.

Benson was losing apparently about 250k a year in sponsorship money.

Good to see wonder boy smash big rigg. Love his fighting style and had a feeling he would beat Hendricks quickly.

Never expected that to happen. Nobody has dominated Hendricks like that before.

Pumped for Jones/Cormier 2. Hopefully Cormier can pull it off this time.
