New champ, Weidman cost himself by going for that kick when he was winning that third round. Madness. Rockhold put a beatdown on him from that point on.

That weak attempt of a spinning kick lost Weidman the match. He had a good control of it, too. He knew he was gassed out from the earlier rounds as well. Why did he try to go for a big one so soon?
I can understand him trying to give the Champ the benefit of the doubt. But the last 25 seconds were ugly...elbows everywhere and blood going all over the place.
Either way, the right result in the end as Weidman was never going to recover from that round.
If that was Connor on top would have ended a round before. Luke deserved the win

Somehow Rockhold came out of those interviews like a sore loser while Weidman was very gracious.
