The MMA thread

Random but would anyone be interested in trying to do an MMA Podcast or something? Nothing like technical breakdowns or anything complicated, more as a laugh and less serious, similar to comainevent.com if anyone listens to that.

I like MMA but pretty much none of my friends watch it, and my girlfriend will probably go mental if I talk to her much more about it. No idea how to go about doing any of it but just a thought I had. Any interest?

It is a top fight in terms of potential gate, PPVs and the like. Will be VERY high profile, a lot of people will tune into this guaranteed and Pendered will be a part of that and make a shit load of money because there's no other way a doofus like him can hit these kinds of big time figures.

It wasn't a ring tone. They were using it as a 2 way intercom so the media could listen in and someone somewhere figured out the code and hacked in. Very funny.

Silva is a bullshitter and deserves all of his suspension.

Bit of both, expect she does play it and was promoting it at the same time. She's a well known nerd and used to be on quite a few gaming forums and is well into those sort of games.

Rumour is they are going to try and make Cyborg vs Tate as a tester of sorts for Cyborg both in terms of opponent and just making weight. Maybe it will even be on the same card as they have started doing recently in case of dropouts.

I would have liked Holly to have one more fight but it's still a little interesting. The overwhelming likelihood is that Ronda gets her down at some point and submits her, probably in the first 2 rounds. However Holm is a long time combat sport athlete and has Greg Jackson in her corner so she should come with a better game plan than most opponents. She's also a big girl and does a lot of moving in and out, however she's going to have to put more mustard in her strikes than she's shown so far if she hopes to stop Ronda from bull rushing into the clinch at will.

Would love Mir to win so he could fight Werdum for the title. I think Arlovski is the slight favourite, but Mir and his lefty are on fire. gonna be crazy.
