The MMA thread

Cormier/Gus and Rashad/Bader so far for UFC 192, lovely. Expect it's quite likely they'll give the winner of Rashad/Bader to whoever walks out as champion. Massive layoff for Evans, still think he'll beat Bader even despite that.

It seems to be a bad match up for Cormier stylistically. Jones did a great job on him and range could play a big part in this. Gus regularly trains with Phil Davies and his takedown defence is very good. But I want Jones to take the belt back of Cormier.

I stick by saying it was a one off great performance and he's nowhere near as good as a lot of people are hyping him up to be. After that win some people legit started putting him among some of the top P4P fighters. Dillashaw has plenty to prove. Taking nothing away from his performance what so ever on the night, but for me I'm nowhere near convinced that he's a great fighter.

Stitch Duran has followed Burt Watson out the exit door :(

And shots fired on the way out.

Second Captains have been doing some good stuff about the UFC in their recent podcasts. Apparently less than 20% of the UFC turnover goes to the athletes (as compared to >60% in PL football) Which is outrageous really. They're being far too greedy and I think/hope it will come back to bit them on the arse.

I watched that last fight between Dillashaw and Barao there the other night, and I can't say I know much about either of them or the roads they've traveled to get where they are now but going by that fight when it comes to style and entertainment value it would be hard enough for a lad not to want Dillashaw to win. He looks like a pure scrapper. His his gung ho approach or the amount of risks he takes could be the deciding factor in this upcoming fight though.

Was a cracking fight and a huge upset at the time

But this time round Dillashaw is clear favourite. I'm not so sure....if Barao has a good weight cut I think it can be a very different fight

Seen his fight against Soto last night on BT there as well and feck me but what a scrap that was. 4 and a half rounds and hardly any of them spent on the canvas. Dillashaw fights like a lad you'd see throwing shapes outside the chippers on a Saturday night!

Love the main card, quite a tough one to predict too.

Barao was looking good at the weigh ins (had to take his underwear to make the weight though), so yeah, i think Dillashaw will have plenty trouble tonight. At least, no way its gonna be as easy as last time.

Barao by KO would be nice. I will certainly put some money on him.

Strange finish alright but was legit

Gomi was out, almost looked like he was tapping before he went out
