Henderson needs to cut his hair, silly how much its getting in his eyes.

Sonnen is fantastic. I've never gone from hating somebody so much to liking them so much. Used to just come across to a massive dick and in all honesty, I brought into his heel shit, but in reality he's shown he's a really respectable guy outside of the character. He does what he does to drum up interest in fights and entertain. Whether he goes out and get's battered next weekend or pulls off the upset, he's got me fecking excited for this one. His crazy over the top promo's for moments have you believing he's going to do it too

Quite a good night last night outside of the heavyweight fight. Brown fight was bloody awesome. Main Event was close as shit but I'd say they got it right actually.

It was so close I think it was correct for Henderson to retain the belt.

I had it as a draw with Henderson winning 3 and 4 and round 2 being even.

Cormier was boring as shit, but effective. Hopefully it will be him and JDS next.

I had Melendez winning it but can't complain either way.

Not sure who Cormier should fight next but he'll have to wait a while as everyone is matched up for a fight already. I'm assuming he will eventually fight Cain otherwise there's no point in him staying at heavyweight and beating potential contenders.

Time will tell. If Dos Santos beats Hunt next month (Which I highly expect he does), then he surely get's his rematch for the title, which with his head sorted this time around, I'd fancy him in. Cormier in the mean time takes another Heavyweight fight unless he takes the step down.

That ref would have beaten all of them with his epic beard, shit ref though, Diaz almost got killed out there, should have stopped it sooner IMO.

The Melendez vs Bendo fight was very close, definately could do with a rematch.

 Oh and whose knee was it that looked absolutely fecked? Diaz? It looked at least twice the normal size! That must sting the day after.

Him and his brother are nails. Must have been a horrendous beating for his corner to throw the towel in. The replays of that head-kick were brutal. You could see the impact traveling the whole way down his back

It's actually the first time ever I noticed someone throw the towel in the cage.

It actually brought back some pretty upsetting memories for me

I don't think I've ever gotten over that.

Weekend card is really good, I think. I threw in that prelim fight as well because it should be exciting even though Medeiros hasn't fought in 2 years.

Jon Jones (c) vs. Chael Sonnen
Michael Bisping vs. Alan Belcher
Roy Nelson vs. Cheick Kongo
Phil Davis vs. Vinny Magalhaes
Jim Miller vs. Pat Healy

Preliminary Card (FX)
Rustam Khabilov vs. Yancy Medeiros

I think everyone on the left hand side wins even though I stuck a tenner on Chael by decision just because of the odds.

Jon Jones vs Chael Sonnen

Roy Nelson vs Cheick Kongo

 These should be great, I can't wait.

Jon Jones (c) vs. Chael Sonnen - Decision
Michael Bisping vs. Alan Belcher - Decision
Roy Nelson vs. Cheick Kongo - Knockout 2nd rd
Phil Davis vs. Vinny Magalhaes - Submission 2nd rd (ankle lock :D)
Jim Miller vs. Pat Healy - Knockout 1st rd

I can't tell if you're taking the piss out of me or not!

But yea, he's one of the bigger LHWs.

I really wasn't! I'm stuck at work so I didn't want a google search resulting in pages full of half naked guys, that's all.

People see me browsing a website called RedCafe almost daily, so it's bad enough as it is. Sometimes I wish this site had another name, seriously.

Ah right, fair enough!

Did another bet:

 Nevermind, just got home and googled him, I was confusing the fella with Palhares, who mostly wins by leglock and looks like a superhero on steroids. My bad.

Good luck with your bet by the way.

Just seen the weigh-ins, I honestly think there should be a super heavy weight class or something. How can you let a fighter of 237 pounds (Kongo) fight a guy of 258 pounds (Nelson) and think it's fair game when fighters in other weight classes are starving themselves to make weight? Am I the only one who thinks that's nuts?

 Also Kongo is like the coolest human being on earth, watch his weigh-in. I hope he can get a win against Big Country, who I've grown fond of but was an exceptionally shit coach on the last season of TUF.

Watched them myself, Kongo took about 10 minutes just to get on the scales

Yea but some of the best heavyweights have been around that weight like 230-245. Cain, JDS, Cormier, Fedor, Bas Rutten, Big Nog just off the top of my head all fight/fought around that weight I think.

The heavyweight division is actually kinda shit at the minute.

Ok, but my point is that it's a bit ridiculous that there is no cap for the HW division. If, let's say, a 300 pound fighter built as a tank were to exist, he could fight any of them without the need to cut weight. It's a bit ridiculous IMO.

There is man, it's capped at 265. Mark Hunt had to cut weight for his last fight which is unreal considering he's 5'10 and was over 265lbs. On his twitter he was trying to get sponsored by KFC. Well it might have been a joke but you never know

 KFC, that would be great. I think I remember something about 265lbs alright. What if there is a 310 pound fighter? Will he never be able to compete in the UFC unless he cuts 50lbs? Why not create another weight class for Weight-watcher sponsored fighters?

Yup, he wouldn't be able to fight unless he cut the weight as there's no super heavyweight division.

The division would be shit, there's not enough talent for it. You'd just have Hunt and possibly Bigfoot Silva. I'm sure Roy Nelson would try his best to get into it though. Although talking about fighters over 265, look at this weird match that's gonna happen in Poland.

You have this guy (281)

Against him (186)

What could go wrong? Although in saying that, I watched the 281lb guy's last fight and it was terrible. He literally can't punch or kick or move or stand or do anything properly. Watch this if you can be arsed, it's actually quite funny. Fight starts at 1:00

Holy shit! Steroid Steve is static as feck! Why did the ref break them up when he was raining hammer fists on his opponent at around 5:00 in though?

His kicks reminded me of this, seriously.

Gaff arriving at the weigh in's in heels, she's fecking quality

Expect a McMann win though and she still poses the biggest threat to Ronda IMO. Hopefully cnut Carraway get's smashed tonight. Cheering on Sonnen, but it's tough to see past Jones winning.

Didn't realize they were showing the prelims live on ESPN tonight, score.
They don't show the prelims on ESPN? That's a bit shit, never knew that. There will be one less prelim fight by the way, as Nick Catone missed weight yesterday, tried to lose it and had to go to hospital because of dehydration.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

Once recently they showed the entire event on a delay, so while ESPN had the prelims on, the main events were going on....

Was just reading about Catone. Will they just have shorter prelims? Dunno why they don't just air the Facebook card anyway.

I've heard that ESPN has actually just cut off the programme before if it runs over time, which is mental. I'd go insane if I was watching the main event and it just turned off

The numbers of viewers would probably be so small that it's not worth it, maybe? I'm not sure but I don't think the Facebook fights or even the prelims get big numbers watching.

Yea, it'll just be shorter. They're starting half an hour later now...I think!

They don't cut it off, not anymore at least. I've watched a few that ran late on it and they always went to the end.

Yeah, you're probably right about the viewership there, shame.

ESPN still have the prelims marked for 1am, perhaps they'll just show some highlights, interviews and junk to start with.
