Just tuned in, Armfield dominated that one. I fear for Zombie in the main event, he's too tough for his own good and with Max's volume striking I could see it being a long fight for him.
Fitting end I suppose for Zombie, went out on his shield, he got a few licks in on Max though and did himself proud, both guys are a credit to the sport.
Ah yes, that feeling when you stop feeling. Nothing like it.
Will celebrate the day they find another way to decide which weightclass you should be in. This part of fighting is just stupid.
Honestly don´t know how they solve it there. Is it One or Bellator who had the better solution to weight cutting? They weighed in early and there were rules as to how much they could cut, if I remember correctly.

Yeah, something like that sounds better.
It must be doable to check their weight a couple of times every year even, random checks. Than they are allowed to cut only a certain % from that. Or something similar.
What did Askren have to say? He competed in wrestling under the same weight loss rules as my guys do, where you’re hydration & body fat tested, then a formula tells you the lowest you can drop to & the earliest date you can be there. Can’t go below 7% body fat without a doctor’s note.I’d heard the solution from a Ben Askren podcast and he was very supportive of it, never had a bad weight cut in his career.
Yeah it’s crazy to me that it’s still like the Wild West with this stuff. There’s other sports that they could borrow from that have made weight cuts much less extreme & less dangerous. Will celebrate the day they find another way to decide which weightclass you should be in. Ahh gotcha, yeah I agree with him completely on the cost / benefit of cutting as low as possible. I’ve seen many a wrestler go down a weight thinking it’ll make life easier only to see them struggle to perform because their body is giving out.I honestly can’t remember exactly, just that the UFC weight cutting was horrendous and that they should fix it as One/Bellator did. He’d never cut down to the weight He could in theory cut to because it’s just not worth it.
I even think they had two weigh ins (it must have been One actually) too, one a week before where You had to be within a certain range prior to the proper weigh in the normal time before the fight.
What a weird ending. Seems to be topical at the moment after Dubois Usyk last weekI thought it was low?
Saint Denis is only a lightweight, but he is still a really scary dude. Nightmare stuff
Yeah, heard that too. A bit of the feeling you got from Cro cop at times. Would love to see him against a ranked fighter next.I think he is an ex special forces for the french military or something like that. Really wanted to get that finish.

He looked totally bewildered. As if he wasn’t at all prepared for what Gane would do….which was exactly what Gane always does. Not sure what Spivak's game plan was in that fight. Try to take Game down a couple of times. If that doesn't work, use the tried and tested Homer Simpson method of using your face to tire out your opponent.
All the eggs were in the take the fight to the ground basket. Failed big time and there was no plan b. Kind of a let down when the big fight of the night is so one sided. Like watching a sparring session for Gane. Not sure what Spivak's game plan was in that fight. Try to take Game down a couple of times.
