Khamzat is absolute gold for Dana. The heel turn has only made him more of an appealing watch as how many more want to see him fight hoping he loses?

Credit where it's due, though: what he did tonight was comedically impressive. Doesn't matter what version of Holland would have gone in there; result would have been the same.

Thought Nate looked sharper and more tuned in than he has for a while. Equally, it's a shame to see Ferguson continuing to fight as he's a husk of what he was in his prime. Would prefer him to retire than to see him out there, personally.

Nice to see Nate go out on a high (no pun intended).

Sad to see Ferguson a shell of his former self.

Cumshot was very impressive. Hope they make him fight Covington next.

Not so surprised by the outcome of the fight, if anything it was impressive by Holland to keep coming back up first couple of attempts.
Wish he could tone it down a notch in the interviews, it`s like adrenaline is doing all the talking there.

You guys think Khamzat will be allowed to try and reach 170 again? Not sure they want this late scramble again.
Knuckles would be interesting.

It was disrespectful for coming in over weight by so much but Diaz was lucky, Khamzat would of walked right through him. What happened to Ferguson? Looks like someone who doesn't belong int he octagon.
It seems to be the doctor that decided it wasn`t healthy to cut weight for Khamzat. Seems very odd, never heard of it before.

The Khamzat Holland fought was fit and fully hydrated - when you don't lose weight properly and just try to wing a division lower than you're supposed to be in with a massive cut and dehydration, you're likely to be a wreck come fight night, or certainly compromised.

Khamzat wouldn't have been flying all over the octagon at 100mph after a brutal weight cut and maybe 75% - 80ish% rehydration. Well, he could.... but if it failed, he'd be dead on his feet for the remainder of the fight.

That Khamzat isn't a reflection on the one Nate would've fought, more than likely.

The guy seems to have no intention of losing the required weight to not have to do absolutely insane weight cutting.

What was going on with Ferguson and letting Diaz rest ? Very weird.

It was pathetic from both of them. This whole fake gangster crap made it even worse.

The quality was abominable. Ferguson truly looked as if he doesn't belong in an octagon cage and Diaz was hardly better.

The juxtaposition going from chimaev in the previous fight to Diaz and Ferguson was scary. It's night and day. He looks about 4 tiers ahead. And the chasm is as much to do with how awful they are at this point as it does with how impressive he is.

I want Chimaev Vs Covington next as well but I don't think Colby is going to accept that fight. He's going to come up with every excuse possible to avoid it, in my opinion. Which is a shame because that seems to be the best fight to make at WW for Chimaev.

I find it so cringe when MMA fighters refer to themselves as gangsters. I've seen many documentaries about gangsters... These fighters are nothing like them and if they truly know about them, they wouldn't want to be either.

It's such a playground mentality.

Interesting stuff with Andreas Michael (Khamzat's coach) coming out about the weight cut. He said they started camp too heavy and didn't have enough time to make the weight essentially, and that Khamzat was vomiting, passing out and had muscle spasms so he called the physician himself and made the decision to stop the cut.

It seems they're confident he can make 170 still on occasion but it sounds like he'll need a fair amount of notice to do so at this point, and will likely only do so for 1-2 more fights whilst they try and get the title. If they succeed, after that it sounds like it'll be a permanent move to 185.

I remember when he had that friendly wrestling match with Jack and weighed in at just under 200. He still seemed to be in very good shape. Cutting of 30 from that is a bit nuts.

Not to beat a dead horse, but that was obvious. He can't cut from the size he is.

A bit annoying the main event played out like that, Song was arguably winning up until the cut, and interestingly it was still a majority draw going into the 5th. He's absolute nails for fighting on for nearly 3 rounds with that.

I don't think Cory looked great personally, thought he looked much better against both TJ and Yan, but excellent elbow to open up the cut. He needs to stop throwing the flying knee every minute though, that was lighting in a bottle that he's very unlikely to capture again.
