Any thoughts on how Stipe v Francis will go down ?

Personally it seems Francis will KO him, but I'm sure Stipe will have practiced how to weather the storm and take it to the ground again, so literally anything is possible.
As you say, anything can happen

But I think it could be similar to previous and Stipe takes it into later rounds. If it goes beyond the 3rd round Stipe should win by decision or TKO an exhausted Ngannou

It's really interesting to me. After the first fight Francis made a point of saying he was looking to improve his IQ and technique and has worked with a few boxing coaches - however outside of DC (pre-retirement) and Stipe there's nobody in the division he'd need to show this against and his haymaker-windmill approach doesn't look to have changed so I wonder whether he's capable of adapting to this fight. On the other hand Stipe has had eye surgery and a few wars against another all time great, as well as approaching the undefeated Father Time so I wonder whether he's sharp enough to perform the way he did first time round. I'm very drunk and very curious.

I find Rogan increasingly painful to listen to in commentary but at the same time I’m so conditioned to his voice being associated with a big card that hearing it gets me fully hyped.

Clear 30-27 for Morales, but Rogan spent the whole fight talking about how Shane Y0ung was controlling the octagon (while landing absolutely nothing).

Shane Young may not have looked shaken, but he was absolutely not in control. Omar had control of the tempo, and he was basically conducting the whole fight.

Just tuned in, this one has been a decent fight so far. Fighter called Nurmagomedov looks good. No surprise there.

He is not actually related to Khabib, isn’t that correct?

Sweet. Von Flue!

How do professional MMA fighters still not know to let that guillotine go? :wenger:

That guy was fighting like on a 3 day notice. He was here just for the paycheck.

He felt the power in those first punches and looked for the way out without taking damage, in my opinion. Dana will give him another chance for sure.

I like Stipe, seems like a great guy. I find him cringey though. If he can survive the first 7 minutes again he should win. Ngannou must be the most scariest fighter I have ever seen though.

Ok clocks gone forward so it’s actually now 3am in Ireland and the uk

Usually ufc ppv s start at 3am.

How?

Yeah you could be right, otherwise there's not really much excuse.

How did the first 2 fights of the main card sneak their way on there? I couldn't tell you a single thing about any of those 4 fighters and I watch most cards.

Predictions for the top 3 fights:

O'Malley (KO) - Almeida (Almeida was a top prospect once and can knock anyones lights out but his defence is way too vulnerable)
Woodley - Luque (UD)(Luque has built a hell of a UFC record under the radar, Woodley has not beat anyone's ass since releasing his record 'I'll beat yo ass' ft. Wiz Khalifa')
Miocic - Ngannou (KO) (This one is really impossible to call but I'll guess that the 3 years and gruelling trilogy with DC has taken a step out of Stipe and with the rate that Ngannou learned English he seems like a fast learner whi maybe really has fixed his holes?)

If Stipe wins tonight you probably have to put him as the best ever heavyweight in ufc history.

Also probably has to be the most underrated. Guilty myself, I nearly always predict him to lose. Just going through his previous fights and trying to remember each of them. I think every time I went against him

@George Owen Any bets standing out to you mate?

Ngannou. That's my only bet remaining.

O'malley, Luque and Ngannou my picks, same as @justboy68

Started good the night, so hopefully it carries on.
