The Make A Fecking Sub Ole Thread

Who is he meant to bring on apart from Martial in a game like this? His hands were tied
 
One thing that's absolutely clear now in the big games is that he's scared of making changes that may backfire.

Subs don't always work and sometimes they prove to be bad changes but Ole shits himself at the thought of a change backfiring in these type of matches. The results we have against the big teams is no coincidence.

A change of system or players, options are available but he chooses not to use them. The funny thing is if we went a goal or two down, you know he definitely makes a few changes. He was happy with a point as he has been with many games this season and nothing he says in his interviews will make me believe otherwise.
 
He was happy with what he was seeing, because he was happy with a draw. Truth be told, the options on the bench weren't exactly game changing. You don't fancy VDB to come on and do anything of note.
 
Absolute stupid decision asusual by Ole not to make any subs. It was clear as day he was happy with the one point today. Any manager with an ounce of positive intent would have made the Martial sub around 60 and then Sub on De Beek and Amad for James and Mctominay on 70 and have a real go. It's painful to see Ole not having the balls to take the game by scuff of the neck.

I would not have minded us to lose the match 1 nil, but atleast have a go, Chelsea were there for the taking today. The same was the case against Arsenal. Slow and Stupid manager who is just happy to have this job which is obviously too big for him.

You need a midfielder that can open space with a pass. Im not saying DVB is the answer, vut he can do it better than Fred and Mctominay. We do not need to have McFRed, they are as usless as each other on ball distribution, we lose two players instantly on the attack because of this.
 
Tbh today i think even the change he did make was wrong. Our second half worse than the first, but that was not down to personelle but to tactics.
In the first half, our press was much higher in the pitch than in the second. I don’t know if that is due to energy levels, which might be countered by subs. That being said, Martial was never gonna help our energy levels was he...
 
Seems as though the only reason why players are dressed are just in case of injury because Ole is way to reluctant to make any changes and when he does he doesn't give enough time for the sub to make an impact. He also tends to make like for like changes. He rarely makes tactical changes where a player coming on changes the formation. I'd like to see him assess the match and what we are missing. For example, if we are losing the midfield battle in a 4-2-3-1 then take off a winger for a midfielder to go 4-4-2 diamond...

for me, even martial (given his current form) shouldn’t have come on. Feel bad for VDB though. Not sure what’s next for him
 
Why do the pompom waivers always have some kind of excuse that absolves him of having to do any in-game management. What’s he even there for just let him pick the side and go home.

I know the bench isn’t littered with superstar talent but ffs you can’t get much worse than this, get Scott and James on to save the day, never thought I’d be saying that

Even Neville is calling it out now. This is poor management. Absolutely nothing is happening, it’s up to the manager to be proactive & try to force something to change. Really annoying.
 
This is embarrassing . I don’t care how depleted our bench is, this performance is not acceptable and you make changes.

It's because he plans his subs before the game, he never manages the game at hand. Zero in-game management
 
Make a sub, make a tactical change, take off players who are playing shite.

Yep. We never seem to change it up mid match. If plan a isn’t working, we keep trying plan a.
 
How Rashford and Greenwood finished that game I don’t understand.

We definitely ran Bruno to the ground, he needs a rest but we can not afford to rest him
 
It's really to hard to understand how he is justifying those (lack of) decisions to himself.
 
What a joke. Matic played basically CB for most of the match and completed 90 minutes when we were supposedly hunting for a goal. Why not gamble and get another forward on? And why the fecking hell do you need to wait for the 73rd minute to make a change to either tactics or players after watching that liquid shit the whole game?
 
Last season excuse was, "he doesn't have anyone on the bench". Fast forward a year, Well.. well..

Has been saying that his game management is awful.
 
For the love of God why does he never bring in an extra attacker?

Why not drop Bruno into midfield and play 442. Go for the win ffs

He'd have James and Amad on the wings with Rashford and Greenwood up top in the last 5-10 minutes.

Ole only does like for like subs. He is so afraid of losing he isn't willing to do our all to win
