Gaming The Last of Us Part II (PS4)

Also should add that trailer contains significant spoilers so don’t watch if you wanna go in blind.
Is it worth getting spoiled ?

Never mind looks like someone has already given it away 2 posts above.

Can't fecking wait for this. The first game is undoubtedly one of the best games ever made and this one looks fantastic.

Looks great from the trailer. I'm still one of those people who thought the first was s great that it didn't need a sequel. But I'm t least being more convinced by the sequel as I see more of it.

Unreal, I can't wait for this game. You just know it's going to be quality. The first game is my personal favourite of all time. I predict Joel to save Ellie and costing him his life. No game hits the emotional core like the last of us.

Still haven't played through the first one  probably do it just before this one is released. Looks good this 2nd one though!

Is the first one all zombies? Or do you fight people too?

The first game is available for free next month as part of PS Plus.

As for the fighting, it's a bit of both. A lot of the time you'll be fighting/avoiding clickers, but there are interactions with people, too.

I've already bought it on sale but it's just sat there, something always crops up when I start it

Couldn’t wait, watched the trailer despite spoilers. Though I trust Naughy Dog to not promote in a way that spoils it for sure.

At any rate I can’t wait. Gives me RDRII feels in its execution.

Yeah I get the RDR2 vibes too, that game is amazing. TLOU2 isn't open world though is it?

He's alive!!!.....for now. Kinda wish we were playing as him instead of Ellie.

Same. I imagine almost everyone would, but you know we are living in these PC times. I just hope they don't shove the lesbian thing down our throats.

Man, it's the best game arguably of all time. HeGet on it, and whilst you're at it check out YouTube videos on cordyceps.

What, the absolute shape of your post. Ellie was class to play with in the last game, she's an adult clearly on rampage mode too. I actually hope it's Joel that is killed in the second trailer as a twist, not because I dislike the character but I hope it annoys the feck out of you. Naughty dog and Druckmann should be commended for having adult themes in the game, shame that not everyone is clearly open minded to it.

Not my finest moment, but I can't pretend to be the protagonist if they are not male. If you can then more power to you. I made no mention of it not being fun to play as Ellie in the first game.

Damn lesbians are everywhere these days. Why can't a man go home and play his macho video game in peace.

I'm not playing the last of us for a love story. If they keep it to a minimum like they did in the expansion then I'm all for it.

 relax

Imagine what it’s like to be a female, let alone a lesbian gamer then.

Fair enough for the honesty, but you won’t get much sympathy from me on that point ;P

Weirdo. Nothing better than playing as a woman in Bioware games and modelling her as a female version of you and then getting banged by the men in the game.

Wait, what were we talking about?

Haven't played HZD then, i guess?

Horizon? Yeah it was a quality game.

Like I said I made no mention of it not being fun to play as Ellie, or the lead in HZD (I forget their name).

But for me TLoU is essentially the best, most immersive game that I've played. I love the post apocalyptic setting, and especially because this somewhat realistic. I want that full immersive experience, and the fantasy will be broken when I play as Ellie as opposed to Joel.

Wait, what were we talking about?

I only play as females when I'm playing Striking Vipers... It's the only way to do it (surely someone has seen that black mirror episode)

I like that it’s easy to immerse yourself into a reality where there’s a zombie apocalypse going on, but being a woman...... nah, that’s a bridge too far, immersion shattered.

Given that I'm not a female it's essentially impossible for me to imagine myself as one. I know cordyceps are real, so it's not as much of a stretch to envision such a post apocalyptic world existing.

What's so hard to understand about that? Why are you seemingly offended by this?

I’m not, I’m having a laugh, mate.
