The IPL 2011

21 runs were needed, it was an aberration. Everyone else had bowled out except Yusuf Pathan. Yusuf Pathan's not exactly Muralitharan.

I saw a few KKR matches earlier in the season and Balaji seemed to be bowling really well.

Pathan had one over (7 conceded) and Kallis had not bowled at all!

Balaji is a decent bowler at the death but when he's been struggling all day with his bowling why give him the last over?

And that idiotic keeper who took 5 mins to throw the ball and give away the extra run on the last ball of the 2nd last over

No one saw that game or what?

3rd final in 4 years. Cracking finish from Dhoni, Morkel and Raina.

wr8 will not be a happy man right now

Was a brilliant game. Even on 17 overs I had a feeling CSK would win. Zaheer and Arvind really messed up then

Haha well KKR getting to the playoffs is a lot more than I'm used to so I'm happy enough :p

I still blame bloody Balaji though. Absolute idiot who cost us not only a CL spot but also a final spot in all probability

PS: Oh MI in a bit of mini collapse? The two set batsmen Blizzard and Sachin gone and Rohit for zero as well. Thanks to their super start they'll still probably win but if only we'd gotten around 20 runs more :(

MI thrashed by RCB today :D

Some unbelievably bizarre decisions by Sachin today.

1. Winning the toss and putting in Gayle and RCB to bat.

2. Giving a very inexperienced Nechim the first over against Gayle even though he had Bhajji, Slinga and Munaf. That first over went for 27 runs and set the tone.

3. Bhajji coming 1 down.

4. Pollard coming at Number 7.

Either this tournament is a bit "scripted" or Sachin is a really really bad captain.

Anyway it's a CSK vs RCB final tomorrow. Should be fun!

Dhoni has won another tournament then. What a guy.

Another costly IPL for the Indian team though.

Sachin and Zaheer can't be bothered to play in West Indies. Neither can Dhoni.

Gambhir, Sehwag and Yuvraj get injured.

There's a high chance we'll get embarrassed in West Indies without all these players.

:(

Was looking forward to some test cricket finally. Shame we can't even be bothered to take it seriously.

I'll be honest, it pisses me off no end with players putting the IPL ahead of playing for the country. Apart from maybe the older lot, they can do the feck they want, really.

Yup it really pisses me off as well. Sachin, Zaheer and Dhoni have been playing a match every second day but I guess as long as you're bankrolled by the Ambanis and Mallayas you'll turn up and play.

Sachin had initially backed out of tests, but to back out of both the Tests and ODI's to "spend more time with family" frustrates me. As do the decisions by Dhoni and Zaheer. The latter you can sympathise with because he's had a lot of injuries. It really seems like all they care about is the IPL money.

Atleast we're lucky that the IPL wasn't before the WC this time.

Sachin is untouchable. He can take a dump on the pitch I couldn't care less :)

No but seriously the guy is 38 and really he has a right to choose what satisfies him. He's toured WI just about a million times. He can play whatever tournaments that he feels challenge him as long as he's good enough for selection of course.

I'm sorry but as far as fanbois go when it comes to Sachin I'm you regarding Nadal to the power of 10 :)

Well that's understandable :)

But he's still had a lot of rest before the WC so I really wish he'd played. We could do with his experience out there with all our other players dropping like flies.

I wish he played too but there comes a point with certain people where you just put your hand up and just enjoy every moment that individual has to give the game.

It's like with SAF. I try and give him the benefit of doubt always because of how much he has given to the club. Same with Sachin. Everything now is surplus for me.
