The IPL 2011

I've heard so much hype about this Morgan fellow. Everytime I watch him he's crap in the IPL!

As Andy Gray would say. Take a boo son, take a boo! Unbelievable innings. He batted so sensibly vs Ishant and Steyn and then just exploded. He took 14 bowls for his first 10 runs and then 109 off the next 42

KKR losing earlier on was pathetic. Kallis and Morgan had a good solid started and then they threw it away. Gambhir typically threw his wicket away while even Pathan struggled and Morgan kept on missing the same shot on the same bowl time and again.

WHAT?

Gambhir is usually one of our most reliable batsmen, that's a strange comment to make.

Talking about KKR. He's had a couple of good innings but he just stupidly throws his wicket away many times for KKR. No idea why he played the shot he did today.

Anyway KKR should be top 4 so hopefully he pulls it off when it really matters :D

Sehwag the most lethal batsman ever. FACT

He can snatch the game away from the opposition.

2nd in the table. I can't believe what I've seen this season :D

Bah! The whole system of having a whole new bidding process is by far the most retarded thing I've ever seen, don't you agree? I mean, how am I supposed to give a little more than two hoots (which is the max I could care) when every team looks almost completely different every year.

But yeah, well done KKR. I hope you get smashed in the semis :D

It's not just the commentators. You should listen to some of the MI fans go on about him. You'd think he was hardware updated version of Sehwag the way they talk. I quite agree with you, he's massively overrated. He has around 3-4 good innings in the IPL and people go crazy about him.

There are so many better batsman than him.
Pollard is made for T20.

Best when it comes to 10-20 balls cameos where some quick runs can make a difference in the end. Can get rid of couple of overs with his average pace bowling. Brilliant fielder who can save runs both inside the inner circle and on the boundary.

He is what we used to call some people "Lappu/ Lappebaz" in gully cricket.

Oh I agree. I find the IPL a bit overrated and I barely even watch all of the KKR matches let alone all the rest but it's partially entertaining and not bad to watch when you have nothing else to do ;)

And it's not about "local teams with local players" anymore either. Mumbai just has Sachin and Sharma? from Mumbai now, all the captains have also shifted teams so it's all about the money but this year has been more competitive than usual and ofcourse, KKR are not rock bottom as they usually are at this point :D

This year's been a lot less less competitive than the last 3 years..

As for local players.. I think that's the best thing about Chennai.. we have a lot of them. Vijay, Badrinath, Ashwin, Anirudh Srikanth all starting in the main 11 plus we retained almost everyone from the previous squad. Dhoni, Raina, Bollinger are massive favourites and are pretty much considered 'local'.

Great set-up. Even if we're not winning, I'd be happy to support the team. It's not like the other teams which have gotten 18-25 completely new players.

There goes Sehwag's car. Gayle just outdid him. Wish KKR had kept him and didn't have that idiot Morgan.

The new teams have done well and even CSK has had a bit of a struggle despite being upto 3 now. It's been more fun than usual this time.

And you're right about CSK have kept most of their squad together and there was controversy about that. I think MI and some other teams had complained about how they managed to retain almost all their players.

Even Kochi's bowling attack alteast is full of localites. Parmeshvaram, Gomez and Sree.

Delhi had a terrific spine of homegrown players such as Sehwag, Gambhir, Bhatia and Mishra. Dunno why they only retained Sehwag.

KKR vs CSK. CSK are 30-2 in 9 overs and not ONE boundary till nw. Has to be some sort of record.

KM: That's what I meant about Gambhir. Yet again he throws away his wicket stupidly. Such an unnecessary shot to play when your team needs you to play a smart and sensible innings. Why go for such shots when the RR is under 6 in T20 bloody hell.

Anu Malik is a cnut

Yeah baby. Mumbai Indians with another victory. Top of the table for sometime now.

Let them win. Coming 1st or 4th doesn't really matter all that much. When it comes to the semis/finals hopefully they lose yet again ;)

We don't even reach any semis and I think with 7 wins this time we're as good as guaranteed a spot right now. :D

Gary Neville on twitter saying Sachin's the greatest ever cricketer.

His leadership of Rajasthan was marked out by an knack for spotting talent and, asked to name the Indian cricketers to watch, he named Rohit Sharma, who's been in and out of the Indian team in his career thus far. "To me Sharma is one," Warne said. "He has got all the talent in the world, if he could just get his mind right and get his attitude right, if his one thought was 'I want to become the best cricketer I possibly can'.

"Every morning he wakes up and tries to talk to Sachin...[If I were him] I'd be hanging out of his pocket, 'How do you think about batting? How do you approach it in these conditions?' Every minute of the day until Sachin says, 'Mate can I have five minutes break?' Keep pestering him.

"He should do that every morning he gets up, 'How am I going to become the best I can possibly be?' He could be a match-winner, a world beater and one of the best Indian cricketers ever, he has got that much talent."

Not supporting them is one thing. But hating them so passionately is another. I suppose your absurd disregard for Tendulkar stems from this as well ?

Naa Sachin has nothing to do with my dislike for MI or vice versa. The prime reason I can't stand them is because of Slinga. I serious dislike him.
