The IPL 2011

100! I know it doesn't really count but he's a joy to watch.

Have bollywood stars got nothing better to do than watch cricket matches?

I'm talking to you, junior bacchan.

Yeah, that's how i'd imagine Nadal playing cricket would look like. Looked quite ugly I thought.

he's really become a run machine though.

I said it to my family when the Mumbai innings ended that they were 20 runs short... smart move for Mahela to open. T20 is always like this..a couple or even at times a single player can win a match on his own.

Missed the match, but Jayawardene's always been fantastic whenever he opens in T20. He should do it in ODIs also, but bats lower because of SL's weak middle order. He's fantastic to watch during powerplays, like a master craftsman at work.

It's just a pain to see Rohit Sharma playing so beautifully, the fecker never translates this performances at International level.

Some of the matches seem blatantly fixed. Mumbai needing the last ball of the innings to get to 120 vs Pune yesterday being one of them.

Is Harsha Bogle one of the most annoying tv personalities now?

I think so.

He seems to be absolutely in love with his own voice and seems to think the world of himself. He also has this incredibly bizarre tendency of interrupting the presenter while they do their job, which is odd considering he's a presenter too. :wenger:
I could be exaggerating

fecking well done Ishant

Ishaant Sharma at his best is bloody good though.

Shame his best shows up as often as Hargo does for United.

Jokes aside, still very very young, after a great start, it is not surprising that he has had a bit of a tough time, he'll get wickets for India for years and years.

On this form he might cause some damage during the English summer.

How good is Zaheer Khan really?

Not only he is a great bowler, but seems like he is a great mentor. Ishant just mentioned him in his interview and thanked him for helping.

Look at this swing from Irfan Pathan. Beautiful.

Now if only he can do this consistently then he'll walk into the team.

KKR back on top after comprehensively beating DC. Great performance by Pathan and Tiwary yet again.

On top by a superior NRR of just 0.006

This Rahul Sharma is a bit good, isn't he?

I mean not sure of his ability in test match cricket, but definitely looks like a handy option for limited overs cricket.

He and Iqbal Abdulla has been the finds of the IPL so far in spinning dept..

4 overs 7 runs and 2 wickets. He did well.

It's a shame that Thomas has thrown away the entire team's efforts but 2 ridiculously bad overs. Sometimes you just wonder how fixed this tournament really is. 2 bizarre wide and no balls called in Mumbai's favour as well.

Really I don't get this Pollard hype. He is an average batsmen and a below bowler(tremendous fielder) but not at all worth the hype given to him. In this innings alone. Suman managed to outplay and outscore him by playing some good shots, but if you listen to commentators particularly Harsha Bhogla(who goes into ridiculous hyperbole over him) it'll sound as if it was Pollard alone who helped them make that score.

It's not just the commentators. You should listen to some of the MI fans go on about him. You'd think he was hardware updated version of Sehwag the way they talk. I quite agree with you, he's massively overrated. He has around 3-4 good innings in the IPL and people go crazy about him.

There are so many better batsman than him.

There are many better batsman and even more better bowlers than him, but yeah just because hits 30 in 15 balls once in three matches, he is a great player.

Symonds is ten times the player that he is.

Seriously he's playing a brutal innings, amazing amazing hitting.

They were 32for3 in 7 overs, when Sehwag decided to start hitting. Now look at the score. Seriously the best hitting I've ever seen.
