Yeah, indeed but I can think of some criteria that can be more defender oriented - cards, never scored a goal in WC, etc :)

Lucky you. The Stain wanted two more mines and I thought they were enough. Those would have landed on Masopust and Rivaldo.

From a global perspective, some have spent nothing or 1 million to get platini, rivera, rivaldo, matthews... They are better strategists.

Really impressed by the success of some strategies.

Actually... I thought it was clever too: bid something to beat non-bidders or forgetful managers, but not risk tonnes of cash.

As it turns out we found out some managers thought bidding was compulsory and that's why they kept sticking 1M there. :lol:

Yeah, I was wondering about that. Bidding the absolute minimum just seem so utterly pointless: You make sure that if someone else goes for the player, you will either be outbid or the player gets blocked (if the other guy is equally stingy).

Not much strategy involved in me landing Matthews unfortunately, just a hopeful punt after I failed to get Di Stefano. Pretty happy with that great winger/great header combo of Matthews and Spencer though.
