And what's the sheep count for each team? Just out of curiosity.
When we reinforce, are we keeping our original players too, or do we swap them so we only have a max of 12 players at one time?
I'm guessing the team strength will go up based on TMH's post.Next stage rules:
1) ONLY Players in the completed 12 men teams above will be available henceforth in next round and subsequent rounds.
2) All 16 teams will be randomly drawn against each other in 8 match ups, knockout.
3) 8 grounds across the world will be selected for round 1. One each from India, Pak, SL, WI, Aus, Eng, NZ and SA.
4) 8 grounds will be randomly allocated to the 8 match ups in first round. You may choose your 11 based on the ground.
5) Grounds for quarters (4) will be declared before start of next round. You may choose to use players from replenish pool accordingly. Although which match up will get which ground won't be declared beforehand. So you choose your 12 as best as you can and then final 11 to match ground.
6) Each day will have 2 matchups. Poll will be open for voting for 24 hours and will open around 13:30 IST (8AM GMT).

Err, not everyone gets choiceWe can play on Sunday @Varun
We've got 2, will be fielding one.And what's the sheep count for each team? Just out of curiosity.
Oops, need to prepare the write up then.Err, not everyone gets choice
I have decided who plays on day 1, 2, 3 and 4. Just want to know if tomorrow start is OK for those on day 1 or day after for them to prepare write up.
Pollock ,Srinath and Alderman not the genuine quickies but still they can manage, but again depends on batting line up he's up against.
@The Man Himself ,you can note it down.Hopefully get a nice seaming wicket to play on
I would say drop Jayasuriya and play John along with HaydenJohn Wright is a good opener but Hayden anyday for me
This just got a lot more complicated. .Next stage rules:
1) ONLY Players in the completed 12 men teams above will be available henceforth in next round and subsequent rounds.
2) All 16 teams will be randomly drawn against each other in 8 match ups, knockout.

6) Each day will have 2 matchups. Poll will be open for voting for 24 hours and will open around 13:30 IST (8AM GMT).
7. Toss will be virtual and will be done before start of every match. Playing 11 needs to be finalized before this.
8. For grounds, it is recommended that use the usual 'type of wicket' on that ground, not the very recent type. Also, grounds are indicative of certain condition not players' records on those grounds.

Traditional it assisted quickies but now the standard has gone down and its not same as it used to be.Guys, what sort of pitch is the Kensington Oval, barbados ? Even a link will do.
Nice, my bwoi Steyn at home.
Ganga is opener he can face the second new ball coming at 6John is the better opener but Jayasuriya is the better batsman i feel. Now that it's Eden gardens, Sanat would make more sense I suppose
No was talking about how we try to keep the fattest guy as goalkeeper in football when we played as kids. Similarly you don't know what to do with Ganga put him in 6.
Lol. I also have Saleem Malik in case I need to fix matches.
feck Pollock did awesome in Pakistan but never played at the National Stadium
Good luck for our game, my good man. You managed to draw the guy who watches no cricket, so feel free to take it easy on me

As I said though, pitches are indicative of certain conditions in that country. Now within country too sometimes pitches differ, but go by the usual type of pitches from that country.
That was about the only sentence which gave any indication about the pitch and the stadium was re-built after that. So it doesn't really help. The Kensington Oval has been home to Pickwick CC since 1882, and originally a pasture on a plantation 600 yards from the coast, it has grown into one of the most impressive grounds in the Caribbean. The official capacity of the old ground was 15,000, although more were crammed in on occasions. In more recent times, the locals were often outnumbered by tourists (Barbados being a tourism centre) never more so than when England visited. The pitches at Bridgetown are generally fast and bouncy, but generally favour the batsmen.
The ground was closed down at the end of the 2004-05 season and demolished in order that a new stadium could be built at a cost of $135 million in time for the World Cup, with the capacity being raised from 12,500 to 28,000. It was also allocated the final. The process was fraught with problems and the completion date slipped almost by the week.
The venue is steeped in history. It hosted the first England touring side (1895), the first combined West Indies side (against MCC in 1910-11) and was the scene of West Indies' first Test in 1930. The reason for this is mainly geographical - Barbados is the easternmost island in the West Indies and so the first port of call for travellers from Europe. That first Test produced records aplenty, with Andrew Sandham's 325 the first Test triple hundred (in 1920 Tim Tarilton had hit the first triple century in West Indies on the ground).
The ground was demolished and rebuilt at the end of the 2004-05 season as part of a redevelopment effort ahead of the 2007 World Cup.
