I'm getting withdrawl! I must visit Lindblum this eve!

The problem is I'm wary of playing it mid-week, as I always get lost in it. I think the least amount of time I've spent playing the game is about three hours.
 
I'm glad I just got straight back on the horse after the corruption instead of taking a break from it. I did that with FF8 and it was a good 12 months until I got back to it.
 
Finding this thread may have ruined my social life. There's just something about the games (1-9) that's impossible to shake off.
 
I can still hear those 16-bit soundtracks on repeat after grinding for hours. Or feel the intensity of that Sorceress Edea carnaval sequence. Damn.
 
Good man Nedved, Terra's theme is one of my all time favourites of any video game music. That orchestrated version doesn't do anything for me though.
 
I saw a porno a few months ago that had the world map chocobo theme from FFIX as the music. Seriously

Edit: I think I saved the link actually in case this situation ever arose where I might talk about it. I'll have a look :angel:

That just reminds me of playing Chocobo Hot and Cold.

And also how much of a dumbshit the chocobo is in 9. It'll go apeshit on a place, and you'll look around that area pecking like mad, only to find it was in the first place you hit yet didn't register.

Choco had some weird perversions.
 
I've decided to change things up and actually use Lulu this time but I just know I'm going to ditch her again at some point and turn Yuna into my full on mage.
 
I'm giving it a fairly even rotation between all, though I'm still early in. Finding I enjoy them all, even the ones I didn't expect to.
Wakka is strangely outdamaging both Kimahri and Auron(both doing fine damage, Wakka is just mental). Plus I have him equipped with a blind ball, which is ridiculously handy.
I straight away took Kimahri down Rikku's sphere path, and picked up Steal/Use nice and handy, heard it's very useful for him to have in some solo battle. Stealing's always handy though!

Also, I managed the get the Jecht shot, never done that before, made picking apart the Goers a doddle in the first Blitz game.
 
Making up that top 20 list of games made me boot up FF Tactics again. Nostalgia!
 
Ye my FFX replay is great fun so far. Just about to fight the chocobo eater. My party always consists of Tidus, Wakka and Auron. I'm not the biggest fan of Wakka but his attack reels is necessary for later on in the game at the Monster Arena and v the Dark Aeons.

Also I forgot how amazing the soundtrack to this game is.
 
Length of time Rikku has returned to my team before becoming my favourite? 1 minute, at most.

Soundtrack is incredible. Especially Yuna's theme, has a very familiar sound too, reminds me of something from Suikoden, there might have been similar songs in 7 and 8 too.
 
Where you up to Tom?

I'm currently at my favourite part of the game on disc 3. No spoilers just in case you haven't reached that far yet

I am planning to play it on summer (July most likely). Tempted to start it now, but if that happens, then assignments won't happen.
 
Tempted to get the remake for vita.

Has anyone played it on vita yet?

Most reviews don't seem to mentioned the handheld version at all
 
I'm playing it on the Vita, and until FM is released, it's quite comfortable the best game for the system. Once FM is released, it'll probably still be the best, but less comfortably.

Just got it off amazon

The only FF Ive ever played is 7, I could never get into part 8. And thats it.

So I am hoping I like this
 
I'm seriously considering buying a Vita, looks like such a great piece of kit, and every FF game at my fingertips, oh my...
 
Ah the scene where Tidus finds out Tuna has to die at the end of her pilgrimage is quite brilliant.

Why don't they make them like this anymore?
 
I was just looking through the trophies and was reminded of the hell that is chocobo racing.

Also what do people think of the slightly altered soundtrack? Not too keen on some like Sight Of Spira, the others don't really bother me.
