I didn't, still owned him though.
Any undead boss in FF is worth firing a weak cure spell at first to check, but they're usually weak to it, and an X-Potion or sometimes a Phoenix Down will cut them down instantly. Gi Nattak is one in 7 that was well known for it, as normally he can be quite a difficult battle unless you're well levelled and have some decent Materia.

I wish I knew about this in FF4 when I had to face Scarmiglione, all those debuffs and counter attacks, it wasn't even my first FF game but I just never thought to use cure on him.

(Hardest Boss in the game in my view bar Proto Babil)

What a heck is this? The new version of the game?

Yeah, kick in the stones when you first hear about it!
The Nintendo DS version of it, few years old now.
It's a pretty swish remake.

It is, I would love to see them remake 5 and 6 on the 3ds.

Best part about 4 was the cutscenes they added. I'm just imagining Celes' first few moments in the world of ruins as an actual cut sense as well as Locke re-imagined in 3d. It would be great.

:nono: I don't want to cry mate.

I really feel for you mate, but I also admire your tenacity to get straight back on it! Many would leave it a good while at least.

Suppose it shows what a good game it is though. Just keep magical disc three at the forefront of your thoughts

I just had a whisky, reminded myself why I wanted to finish it, let go of the 27 hours and jumped straight back on.

I've only just named Vivi and there's already an hour and a half clocked, so the explorer in me is still stimulated. I'm using it as a chance to explore and see if I missed anything first time.

I honestly think it's impossible to get on the first try. I've had several perfect routines on the first run and always got 98 or 99/100.

Maybe I should get on it this evening, doing some music listening and sorting my roo while the weather is sound so might be a good shout to settle down tonight and start.
