Shit just seen you can get loads of the old games for the Vita. This is dangerous.

It's due to the characters that FF9 is so special IMO. Yeah, characters are important in all FFs but i was more interested in them in this one rather than the story (like i am in other ones). Especially Vivi. The most intentionally unintentionally funny character in any video game.

I would absolutely buy FFIX spinoffs starring Vivi or Steiner, or Vivi & Steiner.

Wonder if there's a way you can tell your parents you'd rather sit in your room playingg jrpgs than go for a nice birthday meal with them.

'I am not feeling well, damn this flu'. When they go out, you lock the door and voila.

When I was younger I used to stay home and play games because I had nothing to do. Now people always want me to do stuff I want to sit at home on my own anyway!

That's what started me off with FFVI. I really need to get back on that too. Although i still haven't finished Pokemon X, or any of the games i got for xmas! ffs

It's annoying how useful Quina's getting, he just learned white wind.
Is he or she? I think it doesn't have a gender though it looks more like a female version and it has a female name.

I disliked here almost as much as Yuffie from FF7, but she was very useful. Especially for grinding.

They're planning on cameo-ing her in other games, as they do.

Apparently she's "extremely popular even compared to other Final Fantasy characters".

Oh that. I thought you were referring to another planned FFXIII sequel.

I don't have the hatred for Lighting as others seem to do. She's all a bit meh which just draws apathy from me, unlike say Snow who is a complete and utter tool. A cameo like those in the monster arena in FFXIII-2 wouldn't bother me at all.

Wouldn't bother me either, tbh, but that's because I wouldn't buy it.

Said it the other week, but, I was in a game shop with a handfull of FF games I'd never played, cheap. Not one even gave my a raised eyebrow(never mind other things). 10 years ago, I couldn't have dreamed of something like that being the case.

I mean, I actually have relatively low standards RPG wise. I finished Shadow Madness, which may be the best worst RPG ever.
Just got 1,000 needles. I should just resign to the fact he's too useful to get rid of. :'(
Yup, that'll happen ya, undeniably important.

I had one of those final fantasy experiences last night. Enough to put me off for the night but I'll be getting right back on it tonight.

I thought, as I'd gotten to a new continent, a bit of grinding outside the mage village would be a good idea. So I set off, hacking, slashing and slaughtering mercilessly, got my characters up a good few (7 or 8) levels higher. I noticed Garnet was about to level up so I thought "just one more then I'll save it".

Boom.

Tablet crashes quicker than Richard Hammond, it didn't even make it to the battle music. An hour and a half gone in the blink of an eye.

As I said earlier in the post it's not put me off getting right back on the horse tonight, I could do with a bit of sympathy/geeing up though.

And now tonight I'm going to have to save it after every single fight that I can, just in case. This will halt progress somewhat.

Gives Mist a chance to catch up though, tell me when you hit the mage village RM!

I want to hear other peoples bad experiences with not saving, and more importantly how they reacted. That'd cheer me up properly and give me the energy to grind it back up later.

The most I've lost was on FF7, I forgot to save from the start of disc two until the battle with Mojo in midgar. I didn't play it again that week, but eventually picked it up again the following weekend and went on to beating it. Think it was my second or third playthrough.

I was once playing Animal Crossing, for like 6 hours without saving. Made loads of money, loads of town sculpting and I accidentally turned my DS off.

I didn't pick the game back up for about 6months.

Not a saving issue, but my first time through 7, I played all the way to Mt Nibel and the Materia Keeper smashed me, no matter how many times I tried.

Got so frustrated, I quit the save, and started the game again. During this playthrough, I found out that I had skipped an entire section of game(Gongaga), this time round the Materia Keeper posed no trouble. Felt like a prat for a bit.
