The F1 Thread 2015 Season

Also how fecking stupid does Rosberg look now after that bizarre shit he was talking in Australia, Ferrari bitch slapped him and his team.

I missed quali, did the rain come at the wrong time for him?

He got caught in the pitlane traffic jam, stuck behind a Sauber for his only dry lap in Q2, Hamilton was right behind him and just scraped through himself. He would have been 4th minimum in quali.

He has some rotten luck sometimes!

Good memories from the German/Italian national anthems.

Feels like at some point all the best drivers should drive a Ferrari. Don't sign too long of a contract extension Hammy, I wanna see him in red before he's over the hill.

Not really, his team did their usual act of making feckin' appalling strategy choices. Ferrari did what they needed to, but that was Mercedes throwing it away, not Ferrari "bitch slapping" them.

What a great race and so good to see somebody else win again. Not vettels biggest fan but it's great to see the delight for a win, and it can only be good for f1.

I hope they can continue this pace all season!

Ferrari outdid them on the pitwall, bitch slapped them.

Rosberg again proves he's a number two driver, even on a weekend where his teammate hardly does any FP running he gets beaten comfortably.

Righto. I'd argue Ferrari didn't do anything particularly special, they just did what they needed to and it was Mercedes throwing it away more than anything, but I guess the result is the same. Vettel wins and the Mercedes limp home ten seconds behind.

Wolff reckons they've made no mistake in 20 odd races?!

Wolff talks a lot of shit. They've made pretty awful strategy mistakes consistently since they've been back in Formula One. They just got away with it last year due to the car being so damn good.

Oh without doubt Mercedes threw it away but it would have been easier and safer for Ferrari to have pitted Vettel and followed what nearly everyone else did.

You could analyse and pull apart Hamilton's strategy today and never work out how they thought that was a good way to go. It only made sense if Hamilton had a set of options to attack at the end, they let him pace himself with that in mind and when the stop comes the stick primes on it and Hamilton didn't even know about it, I mean thats really really dumb.

Rosberg's turned so awkward this year, if it really is 'game on' between Merc and Ferrari then he's gonna finish 4th in the championship. Can't wait for China, partly to see if the Ferrari is really as quick as it looks but also to see a clean fight between Vettel and Kimi, I reckon if Kimi had a clean weekend he would be pushing Vettel all the way.

Don't like Vettel at all but I am glad he broke the Mercedes 1-2.

Vettel conducting the Italian anthem as a mini Schumi tribute was a nice touch.

He got really emotional in the press conference and had tears in his eyes.

There is a lot little boys in Germany that grew up in the 90s wanting to be little Schumi - Vettel one of them.

Ferrari had more pace than I expected even allowing for tyre choice/strategy. Will be interesting in China with the longest straight on the calendar. Hamilton v Vettel sounds a whole lot more enticing than Hamilton v Rosberg! Verstappen had a nice drive - I like this kiddo - He looks like a future champ.

Another championship and he might start thinking that way... Vettel v Hamilton in the same car, both at their peak......

Wow. Finally, watched the replay of the race (managed not to get the result spoilered).

What a great performance by Seb and Kimi. Ferrari look proper pumped. They looked like they had the pace all weekend, which is encouraging.

And once again, poor Fernando.

Once again finds himself in a dog of a car while his former team makes massive strides.

ferrari did well. vettel used his tires better. IMO even if benz goes softer option tire with hamiltons car his times would drop near the end. vettel even on the harder compound ran great times. look at where kimi finished after all the trouble he had. some manufacturer sent the benz boys back to thinking.

I like Vettel....feel kinda disloyal and dirty saying it but he's a fabulous driver and deserves recognition for it.

Yes, he is. Deserves more respect for sure. Annoying in the immediate aftermath of a win, but a good guy and gives honest , eloquent interviews. That he was so dpminant these last years isn't his fault . That drive at Interlagos to win from Alonso showed his class beyond doubt.
