Fact is Lewis was ordered to drive faster because he was driving slow enough to back him up but was fast enough to stay ahead, because he was on the faster tyre Rosberg was on the mediums which if you see when the Ferrari's went on them they lost over 10 seconds on the mercs, even if lewis was preserving the tyres he should have still been able to pull away from Rosberg in that section of the race.
About the dirty air all im doing is taking my info from the commentators.

Nico knows he can't beat Lewis on speed, it will come down to strategy or Lewis making a mistake.

He was hoping for the undercut on the pit stops.
 
Never thought I would hear a driver running second complaining that the leader was going too slow. Has someone forgot to tell Nico, he's a racer. Last year on the Sky F1 show they had someone from the German press on the show. Talking about how Nico is unpopular in Germany, compared to other German drivers. After outburst like this you can see why. Wonder what Toto, Paddy and Nikki will do. Having this outburst to the press after races making the team look bad.
 
Just caught up with the race , it was decent enough, nothing special.
The end was a farce under the safety car.
OMG what a moaning bitch Nico is, I saw nothing that compromised Nico's race, he just could not catch him.
 
Lewis so dominant. Here is a driver in total control. Contrast to Rosberg, who looks to me on the verge of a nervous breakdown. He clearly cannot match Lewis' pace. Mercedes should be good for the 1-2 in most races but Rosberg could end up looking to hold off Vettel more often than trying to beat Lewis.......

Verstappen is again showing his mettle after only 3 races. Fantastic driver, and exciting to watch.
 
Can't get past or keep up with Lewis, complain that he's driving too slow.

He's not going to win every race, F1 doesn't work like that. Is he going to have the chance to win every race? More than likely but I think Ferrari will almost certainly push them hard in the hotter races and power circuits.

if the Merc can perform every race, then Lewis is the perfect driver to win every race.
It would be some feat if he could win every race left this season , but don't for one minute think this will happen.

Button's car fails him after about thirty seconds of pulling out of the pits :lol:

Oh my God, the McLaren this year :lol: It's almost like us last year under Moyes.
 
So Buttons car has packed it in every session so far this weekend? Car is a joke which is a shame because there are two class drivers on that team.
 
Alonso manages to get the McLaren through to Q2, miracles do happen!
 
And thats why you pay Hamilton, when the rest start getting competitive you want your main driver to get the job done, Rosberg again fails and falls behind a Ferrari.
 
Rosberg is done.

Our only hope for a championship fight is if Ferrari keep improving and Vettel stays in the hunt.

Must be frustrating for Kimi as well. He's been the quicker guy all weekend and then Vettel pulls something out of the bag right when it matters.
 
Ferrari were only 4 tenths behind on quali pace there, their race pace is better. Could be a great battle between Hamilton and Vettel tomorrow, can't rule out Kimi either.

He was 3-4 tenths down on all Option tyre runs, thats probably just the gap around here on quali pace.

Looks to me like Hamilton has targeted quali as an area to improve for 2015 and man, he really has improved it.

He was always very good, it's just that he's made himself almost unstoppable now. I can only see Vettel outdoing him when Mercedes are on a bad day and Ferrari are on a good one, or Rosberg in China.

Praying Kimi has a trouble free race so he can be right up there.

Don't think I've ever seen him without a white shirt on and wearing sunglasses. Imagine having all that money and only owning one set of clothes. Also, why does he never smile? If I was him I would be spraying champagne in the face's of ladies at every single podium, even before the race starts - just waking up the grid spraying champagne over everyone.
