The F1 Thread 2014 Season

He made the same mistake twice, pure driver error under pressure. Rosberg knows if he won today he might have broken Hamilton's spirit.

Very weird mistakes to make tbh, no other driver has and I don't think pressure makes him go straight-on on a corner he's done hundreds of times, I'm always good for a conspiracy mind.

I'd bet my left nut he complains of brake issues post race anyway, thats how you cover up driver errors. But Nico has gone off track like that several times this weekend, he also did it at Spa, perhaps he's just struggling a bit under braking.

Hmmm but this is F1 we are talking about .

Harsh penalty for KMag I think, thought the FIA were being more lenient on stuff like that.

Super harsh, very little in that. Let the Rosberg one slide but penalise that? Not consistent at all.

Magnussen seems to pick up a few penalties that commentators and the like didn't think anything of.

If Rosberg DNF's with brake issues then you might be able to argue it, until then I'm going with driver error.

I see it the other way, I don't think they'd retire Rosberg to even it out but they might have made him 'pull over' as a peace offering, IDK, pushing it even for F1 I suppose. Not heard any chatter of brake issues from Rosberg.

Ricciardo's a star. Pretty impressed with Perez's wheel-to-wheel racing, haven't noticed him much this year (Bahrain aside) but he had quite a few incidents last year from what I remember.

No way on earth Rosberg would do that.

He's just been outdriven.

Great race I thought.

Right result, no issues with either car (aside from maybe the start for Hamilton) so a straight fight. Rosberg pressured into a mistake and Hamilton had the pace to capitalise.

Fantastic racing behind them. Ricciardo is amazing and although I'm a Button fan and got frustrated at him not getting the job done, his battle with Perez was great.

Ricciardo is fast becoming my favourite driver out there. I cheer him on just as much as I do Hamilton now. Bottas is really driving that car well, makes you wonder how he could have finished if he had a better start.

Ricciardo is extremely impressive.

Ricciardo is extremely impressive.

Thought he was gonna be a Vettel patsy. Someone who was just meant to show up, be grateful he was in a Red Bull and do as he was fecking told. He's been incredible, looks like a future World Champion, made Vettel look average. I can't remember ever being more wrong about a driver.

That was a great race to watch! Hamilton was superb to fight back after his poor start. Ricciardo was immense as others have also pointed out. Some of his overtaking was just .

That was a set up, no one will tell me different.
Mercedes have hung Rosberg out to dry.

Off course it wasn't a set up. Nico has gone off track a number of times this weekend. Merc are not stupid enough to even think of doing that, it would destroy any credibility they have if this got out. Telling a driver to make an error because he's been a bad boy. Can you imagine ha "Nico at some point in the race if you are ahead of Lewis make it look like a drivers error so Lewis can overtake you".

Poor Lewis can never catch a break with fans.

not a chance today was a set-up and if you think that sorry but your wrong, VERY WRONG.
The pressure got to Nico today, pure and simple, Lewis handed him the race due to his bad start and should for won.
Lewis took his chance and Nico never got another look in.
Nico told to lose the race BOLLOCKS.
